Well since people want to compare Aangs fight with Fire Lord Ozzie to Korras with Zaheer, lets look at the facts shall we?
Aang was at full strength, Sozins comet made both fire bending stronger and the fire bending of Fire Lord Ozai and Fire Lord Ozai was not as difficult or challenging of an enemy as Zaheer was. The only reason Ozai could even tango with Aang was because of the comet. Lets not kid ourselves, that battle would have been over a long time ago if the comet wasnt there and if Aang believed in taking a life. And if you want to argue about which villain was better than be my guess. But Zaheer literally became an advanced air bender and became the only air bender in 4, 000 years who could fly and he did this all in one season. He also didnt have a comet to intensify his strength like Fire Lord Ozai did.
Korra on the other hand was poisoned, had to fight off Zaheer and his other fellow benders while she was literally chained up. The other benders were masters in their own right and were some of the best benders the world had ever seen. Then she chased him down in the sky while he was flying around effortlessly. Lastly Zaheer didnt take her down. The poison was getting worse. Korra could have taken him down and killed him in her avatar state no problem if she was healthy. This is not an accurate comparison because Korra was not full strength or had any other environment or circumstantial help like Aang did or like Fire Lord Ozai. Also Aang only fought Ozai. Korra was in a fight and defenseless in front of three of the red lotus leaders including the creeps that poisoned her, yet she turned the tide in a matter of minutes because she went into the avatar state.
I like both avatars but if you want to compare please use the facts from the show instead of your childish fascination with constantly feeling the need to prove avatar Aang was better. If he was so much better and cooler than why are you constantly feeling the need to put it in the comments of videos about AVATAR KORRA! Congratulating and celebrating Avatar Korra doesnt take anything away from Aang, unless you feel butt hurt cuz you actually think she could be the stronger avatar. At this point, all the comments about How Aang is better is for yall to convince yourselves that that statement is true. For argument sake I decided to entertain this childish charade, but please just let us enjoy both avatars for who they are, flaws and all.

This show kinda jumped the shark in a couple ways. The first season was awesome all the way through. The spirits in the second season, however, were a bit silly. In ATLA the spirit world was mysterious and foggy, and it had spirits that actually looked like they could be a part of an earthly religion. The LOK spirits were weird little sprite things that looked more like tamagotchi than spirits, and the spirit world looked like Disneyland instead of a mysterious spiritual realm. Also the spirit of good and evil thing was kitchy and the spirit giants fighting just looked silly, honestly her literally defeating evil was just kind of preposterous. Aang defeated a tyrant, ozai and ended a war which was believable because we live in a world of tyrants. But were supposed to accept that Korra literally defeated the god of evil? Please. Then the severing of the avatar cycle, which honestly wasnt a jump the shark moment but just bad boring writing imo. Then the giant mech. I mean need I say more? That was jumping the shark. And the birth of new airbenders for absolutely no explicable reason? Like I know its a fictional kids show but come on, LOK had a lot of bad moments of overgrandiose writing that kinda ruined it for me.

I think the reason the writers made Korra be so flawed is probably in order to strongly contrast Aang. If they tried to make her personality more like Aang, then the show wouldnt be as exciting because Korra would be a recycle of Aang. She would literally just be Aang again with a different appearance.
Shes an entirely different character interacting with the world as the avatar and I appreciate their efforts in making someone we have never met before. Also, it probably also shows that ANYONE can be chosen by Raava as long as they are in the group of benders where the avatar will be born next according to the cycle. Shes not looking for someone with a particular personality, emphasising that who gets to be avatar is almost completely random.

one of the moments that I LOVE in the legend of korra is when unalaq was crushing korra between the ice and she was about to pass out then raava spoke to her and said '' korra, do not give in for 10 thousand years of darkness, you are the avatar '' and then an epic version of the theme start playing and korra enters the avatar state and blast a mighty fire beam that make unalaq falls to the ground and the air rise korra from the snow and she said in an epic voice '' you can not win '' and she make an air slash that unalaq avoid and he start to run away and korra start to follow him and the fight continue, man that was EPIC

For everyone who thinks Korra is the worst Avatar, remember that we only saw her as a VERY young avatar that had to face SEVERAL different types of major conflicts within just a few years. If there was a show about the past Avatars you would probably think they were terrible too (ESPECIALLY KURUKS ASS) even my favorite, Kyoshi started off as a punk afraid to fight/defend herself but as we saw she evolved into a fully realized Avatar that took care of business ON SIGHT. So relax when it comes to Korra and think about how easy you would save the world between the ages of 17 and 21.

Cora is a great character. I was a scheptical since I went from Avitar right to Oegend of Cora and had fallen so in love with the original team Avitar. But Cora and her story was handled with a lot more maturity and tact than I was expecting. And Cora herself has one hell of an arc. Watching her work through her depression and PTSD in season 4 was great too and made her stronger. Shes flawed and thats why I like her. Zhes also bi which just makes her more relatable to more people. Ot makes me just love her more despite being straight myself.

1. Tension fighting the red lotus by himself and holding his own
2. Toph earth bending Kuviras entire army away and proceeding to insult her like the badass she is

Korra is definitely the better avatar for me cause of her strong character, her character development was way better than aang cause of all the trauma she went through and only after season 2 she was alone after the her past avatars left, just proving how independent she really is, she set a new era for avatars

i like korra but she does have some issues for starters she can be annoying and i do kind of see why people call her a mary sue cause they always just say it instead of showing it but she is decent i like her mainly in season 1 and 3 all though i like a lot of other characters better

Its based on bias that she broke bolin and used avatar state to beat children could've been aang playin air scooter with his grand kids but I rewatched atla I can't compare the two korra was good like I said but atla is on top

i would just say that the moment when amon was bloddbending korra and she resisted because of her will power and yeeted amon out of that building with her new just found airbending abilities was the first or if not, the second most badass moment in this show and you cant change my mind

Idc but korra using her earth and fire bending to keep up with Zaheer in the sky gave me chills when I first saw it. Had to rewind it a few times. Especially when she gave in to the poison after fighting it off for as long as she can and turning into her avatar state

I think the fight scene with Korra in chains was my definitely my favorite. After voluntarily submitting herself to imprisonment, she still EASILY holds her own in combat without mobility of her hands or feet. So impressive, and the animation was stunning as well.

I really liked both ATLA and LOK but I pref LOK cause it's much more grown up and takes the viewers more seriously. It is amazing that a kids show can be this competent and meaningful

While I still liked the original series better, The Legend of Korra is AMAZING, especially Seasons 3+4. The bending from everyone is phenomenal and so badass to watch.

Korra is just a hotheaded kyoshi. Shes a beast like aang but doesnt listen. Yall hate her because shes his complete opposite. Overall, 10/10 would recommend.
