I think yes, maybe he would have convinced his generation of slytherins to join the good side. Maybe if the sorting hat had put him in Slytherin much less people would have died in the second wizarding war and he might become a talented and powerful wizard because you have got to agree he was a wizard with mediocre even below average talent. He didn't even cast a bloody simple spell in his first year. I agree to Snape that he was lousy as he just fooled around with Ron not taking stuff seriously. Even after knowing about the prophecy he didn't strive to do well in his classes most importantly DADA. He couldn't even cast a bloody non verbal spell and even when he could he shouted spells. As we all heard Rowling write that Harry roared or yelled spells. Harry was lousy and I think none other than Ron Weasley was responsible for it. He couldn't have won a duel against skilled death eaters like Bellatrix Lestrange or Rudolphus Lestrange and some others. Maybe if he had been chosen into Slytherin he would have taken his stuff seriously. Harry vanquished Voldemort on sheer luck. There is no dynamism in his character. Like Neville despite being a fearful boy in his first year turned out to be one of the most important character who turned the direction of the war. Ron never faced Voldemort, did he? But Neville did. He probably knew the next moment he was gonna die when Neville shouted, Dumbledore's Army in front of Voldemort. He slashed the neck of the snake which was wrapped around Voldemort himself.
Yes Harry would have surely done well in Slytherin. And Ron talks about Draco Malfoy being prejudiced then what is he? A filthy hypocrite as his own sister said.
I don't think Sirius, Remus or Dumbledore would had been prejudiced if he had been chosen into Slytherin. Ron keeps on saying Merlin, does he know Merlin is a Slytherin?
His mum and dad were brilliant witch and wizard respectively. He was not brilliant, come on he was horrible in transfiguration. He couldn't say Mcgonagall was prejudiced could he?

People are the way their are because of their choices, not there houses or how they are alike. Voldemort and Grindelwald made bad
choices and in the end the paid the Piper. Grindelwald lost his freedom. His life ticked away and he was finally murdered in his prison cell.
Voldemort it appears, killed more people than Grindelwald. and was deprived of his body for thirteen years. He finally regained it only to lose it again and his soul and this time also his soul.
Dumbledore, with Grindelwald's help, made some wrong choices that cost his sister, Ariana, her life and cost him the association of his brother. After the duel with Aberforth brought him to his senses he made mostly good good choices but he never created a family.

McGonagall would raise her hand to give you a high five but if you reached her hand, she placed it down and says, HA! I didn't intend for you to slap my hand- you're an idiot, go to Hufflepuff! If she offered you a swordfight and you agreed to do it, you'd be sent to Gryffindor. If you knew how to spell acceptable you're in Ravenclaw and if you look scary and ugly you went straight to Slytherin,

Im sorry but I cant stand when people say harry could be in slytherin when he cant because one of the main rules of becoming a slytherin is you must be a pure blood and harry is not, his dad came from a pure blood family but lily was a muggle born making harry a half-blood. The main reason for slytherin having the pure blood rule was because salazar slytherin (cofounder of hogwarts and creator of slytherin) couldnt stand muggles or pure bloods be with muggles.

if he was in slytherin he might have been a better version of tom riddle. like a tom riddlethat wasn't evil, being one of the few that, like slughorn, was actually quite nice and cheery but still, ambitious, cunning and incredibly impressive showing mastery of their work, rallying behind a lot of slytherin, possibly even swaying draco but not being able to win over many griffindors, ialso doubt something like dumbledores army would be a thing

I have this close friend, and i had a Hogwarts themed party. I attended it in Slytherin attire, and when they noticed, they said i scared them now. So i turned to my fellow Slytherin, abd we both gasped at it. I told her off about stereotypes, and she apologized. I just don't get stereotyping, thats like saying all Mexicans only eat Mexican food, and that all Whites are snobby, or like saying all blacks are dangerous, or will hurt someone.

I am a proud slytherin, we arent evil or bad. Just because the whole story is written in a griffendor perspective and they are rivals all you see are all the bad moments of the slytherins. Slytherins are loyal and good friends, always there ready to stick up for you and will not let anyone be disrespectful without paying for it.

As a Hufflepuff, I have many Slytherin friends-(trust me the Hufflepuff and Slytherin making ok friendships are sorta true)
-and they are all kind, cunning, and masterminds that use it up to trouble, but not evil trouble. just. I dyed the mascots suit our rival school colors.

I feel that Blaise and Pansy would be Harrys Ron and Hermione, and maybe Pansy and Harry would get in a relationship (since shes the only fully written female slytherin. Eventually Harry and Draco would get along and maybe Lucius would join the order. Crabbe and Goyle would be Harrys Fred and George.

Well Harrys son went to Slytherin so there is that trait in the Potter blood. None of them are bad or evil, just that they could do great things for themselves. The difference is that Harry chose to not be in Slytherin. But it's not unlikely to assume he would have excelled there.

Actually harry did have an evil bone in his body because the night Voldemort killed his parents and the killing curse rebounded upon Voldemort he latched onto the only living thing in the room and that was harry so he was part of harry
