I was sad about the ending of season 4. But its supposed to be a noir. And it stays true to the idea that sometimes the choices that are made can really negatively impact those around us. Had Veronica chosen to stick to her safer profession of the law, even if she didn't love it, Logan wouldn't have died that way. Yes, true, he could have died in a mission. But the idea is, when you choose a dangerous profession, sometimes, people get hurt. That is pretty realistic. Think about how many public servants (firefighters, police, military etc) die because of their jobs? Its a reality. And we all have to live with the choices we make. In the last episode, the title of hero kept being referenced. It was foreshadowing something; sometimes, when someone is a hero, their loved ones are put in danger. So it makes sense.

The ending wasn't a twist, it was a drive-by shooting, one fueled by a complete misunderstanding of its audience/actual genre, and a creator's straight-up admission to destroying an element of his story due to not knowing how to handle the complexity.
I'm a brand new viewer, and even I was unbearably disgusted by that ending, not just what happened but how it was presented.
I don't think WatchMojo knows what is and isn't a complete downer, and Rob Thomas sure as shit doesn't know the difference between a limb in need of amputation and a healthy beating heart keeping your creation alive.

I loved the ending. It hurt me, but I know why it needed to be done. Honestly, he wasnt who he used to be. His arc was finished. He did all the growing he needed to do. And he matured in a way that wouldve fully healed Ronnie. And you cannot have a perfect character mentally and emotionally. There has to conflict. And he had to go. I wouldnt have wanted him to become just, Veronicas husband. Which is what he was for most of the season, supporting and helpful. Thats it. His character has done what he needed to do and I will always love him. Im ready to see this new era of Mars.

I actually liked the ending. Now hear me out, it was absolutely heartbreaking but it made sense. Veronica Mars was never about her relationship with Logan, it was about her. While I loved the ship keeping Logan alive would also have limited Logan himself, and he didnt deserve that. So yeah I think the ending was a smart move by the creators and opened a door of possibilities for her in character development and future opportunities in the future. As long as the writers dont discredit his death if there is a season 5 Im okay with the ending.

Thank you Ms Mojo. You always make the best videos. I loved all of Season 4 even the thing people didn't like because it is in keeping with the show being filled with unexpected twists. Rob Thomas is never going to bow down to shippers. Veronica has always had tragedy throughout her life going back to Lily Kane. There is always collateral damage. Remember the massacre in the movie or the bus? It made perfect sense to me but it did break my heart. This is not your regular CW show with shipping names. The show is now grown up.

6. I really missed Mac though! I know Rob Thomas said the cast depends on the mystery/plot but there's a task given to Maddy that was really Mac territory
1. I'd change some aspects and I do think there were other options for the end. but it was clear that the whole season was written with this ending in mind and as a long-time fan, I do think it suits the show as a whole.

The books he wrote had Veronica dealing with the pain and anxiety of having a SO in the armed forces. They had her connecting with other wives and GFs of men in the service and dealing with her issues. They had her growing as a person and a character.
All while Logan was alive and well.
I guess it's easier to keep her two dimensional, though.

Guys stop getting mad a MsMojo for Logan. Get mad at the dang writer. He said wanted him gone because he didn't want Veronica to have a romantic relationship. They could have done anything else better. This was a good video. The season tho, not so much. The others were better because she was in high school, and there was more. Idk, characters I guess.

Did Rob Thomas pay them to say the ending was the best? Like so many people have said. The fans were cheated. It is a fan driven show and they paid for a movie. Then he did that. Nope. I know things should always have a happy ending but this was the wrong way to go. He could have written some many others way that would satisfy a twist. And the fact he is happy the fans are upset is just gross.

You really liked the mystery? It couldnt decide if it wanted to be real and dark or lighthearted and zany. The result for me was that it never hooked me.
I disagree with everyone in the comments about the ending though. They (the writers) never managed to bring the magic back after season 3, and when thats the case I think this is the only thing they could do.

I have watched season 4 yet but I accidentally got the end spoiler for me when I was looking to see if there was going to be a season 5. I had heard there wouldnt be. The problem now is I dont think I want to even bother with season 4. Maybe Ill get the time stamp for when they leave the courthouse as Ive seen in the comments, watch it until there a call it a day.

To counter all of the negative comments: I loved it and the ending fit the show perfectly. It's never been about her love life; it never was the most important part of the series and the series has always been dramatic. Also: don't forget that most of us LOVED S4. People just claim to hate it. just because of that ONE twist. So, yeah, season five please!

can someone explain the insult censoring for me? Like, how does the american age rating system work? How is it, that a show where someone is beheaded) every second episode is not allowed to use swear words? Don't get me wrong, I found it a little funny especially after just watching the Good Place, but I don't really get the reason behind it.

I cannot even say how much Rob's Noir version of Season 4 was soooo much suckage. The show was so bad there is even a documentary about it. He played fans and gave them a bait and switch version. He crashed and burned a fifteen year long fandom. Sad. Rob you could have done better. but you didn't.

The ending? This isn't Gone With The Wind (or A Walk To Remember, for actual dead end. Shocking endings get no brownie points when the audience has been involved for decades.
Here's to hoping Logan pulls a Sherlock Holmes, but honestly I wouldn't care as much. Once burned, twice shy.

I agree that the ending was sad and was PARTIALLY done for shock value but I think it works and it didn't suck and yeah Im a true fan and yes I'll miss Logan but I also think it was an interesting move especially if there is another season which Im really hoping for

I thought they should have done a different case in each episode along with the series mystery. And they should have changed the ending, its sad the writer isnt talented enough to know how to write Veronica Mars to make her interesting while married.

If you ask me, Rob Thomas dropped the ball when the answer was so obvious: Just do what Cobra Kai did. Make Maddy the new Veronica and Veronica her mentor as the new Keith, while Kieth retires and gets a beautiful farewell.

I never liked who Logan's character story become more and more tragic like both of his parents died when he was still young and on this season his character changed so much and become to good to be real.

I love Leo. And I hate that I wanted them to hook up. Because Logan was too good to Veronica and he didnt deserve it. I am happy she proved me wrong and didnt cheat on him.
