My role models are babs and Meryl Streep. My mom's side of the family is Jewish. I was always bullied growing up for my nose. It was always the butt of everyone's joke. They used to call me hook nose and all sorts of other names. I used to always watch funny girl and just look at babs and admire how beautiful she is and how unapologetic she is about her looks. I used to always sing the line from her song I'm the greatest star that said who's an American beauty rose with an American beauty nose! with pride. As I got older, my sister in law started calling me Meryl, because she said I looked like her and reminded her of Meryl Streep. Which is one of her and mines favorite actresses. So I took that as a badge and I smile every time I see both women on the screen and whenever I sing a song from babs

Don't hate me folks BUT Sarah Jessica Parker is as ugly as sin even with alll the makeup and high fashion this n that she still isn't remotely attractive she looks like a witch! and according to Kim Catrall she's mean as a cut snake! SO she's really ugly to me now! even her character CARRIE BRADSHAW is a self-centred fukin SHIT friend anyway observe the SATC plot lines for eg/ it's all me, me, me AND SUPPORTING ROLES! I loved Winona in Beetlejuice. BTW, if you don't know the star Betelgeuse (pronounced the same) look it up. If anyone is still saying she isn't pretty, well they are just wrong.
Meryl Streep (sp) was lovely in the movie Death Becomes Her. For that matter, I never really paid attention to her looks so much as her acting ability. That being said, I never thought she looked anything less than lovely.

Talk about a shallow industry states the narrator as tens of thousand of young girls trek to Hollywood annually to hopefully be discovered and become a rich and famous starlet. I think even though the beauty standards keep changing per decade. I really don't think aesthetic beauty has to do with skin tone, because there are gorgeous chocolate toned entertainers and models, think: Naomi Campbell, Beverly Johnson, Iman, Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong'o etc

This should be Stars that are just too plain. Because ugly people get parts in Hollywood. Precisely because they are ugly they can get parts. You have to either be very attractive or oddly unattractive. If you are just plain middle of the road you don't get noticed.

Why are these stars all women? Why is it so important for an actress to look beautiful. I don't see male actors getting criticized for the way they look. I don't see them needing to lose weight or do plastic surgery. There's so much wrong with the movie industry smh.
