I used to have some respect for Dr. Phil until I realized how he regularly slaughtered guest on his show with retired Jack Trimarco, FBI polygraph examiner guy. Dr. Phil has been on record many times claiming Trimarco was the best in the country when in fact the polygraph industry is a total SCAM. It absolutely doesnt work and there are plenty of sources available here to back me up. #1 Theres a 60 Minutes episode with Diane Sawyer titled Truth or Consequences where her undercover investigative news team exposes the polygraph industry as total frauds, a must watch and only around 11 minutes long. #2 Retired Oklahoma police detective Doug Williams of Doug Williams Polygraph is a former polygraph examiner and he shares his knowledge on what complete garbage the devices are for determining truthful or deceptive answers. He has been crusading against the polygraph industry for over 40 years and mentions how there is no Pinocchio effect. Your nose doesnt grow when you lie, your heart rate doesnt necessarily increase when you lie or your breathing and sweat activity. They are simply physiological responses to stimuli (Questions of varying degrees of possible embarrassment, nervousness and other factors) and absolutely have no bearing in what a subject is answering. #3 The USA Supreme Court, in an 8 to 1 ruling and after a scientific study with vigorous debate from psychologists, scientists, the Polygraph industry and many cases before that used the polygraph, determined that the polygraph machines are no more reliable than the toss of a coin. Their operators are very defensive and misleading on the accuracy they claim these devices have, many going as far as to claim they are 98-99% accurate. They are in my opinion, narcissistic and greedy entrepreneurs who have a great gimmick going because many of us have been duped for over a century now into believing they actually work. #4 Myself and my self discovery to what a crock of crap they are. I had suggested to pay and take one in order to settle a trust issue with my former wife and was told by my examiner that I had failed miserably. I am now in the throes of a divorce and have come to discover all I am sharing since that terrible day. I expected to be tap dancing ala Fred Astaire and instead felt as if I was walking to the gallows as I left that office with my angry and hurt wife. The only good a polygraph can serve is to scare a confession out of a criminal that actually believes they work. That is not enough reason to justify their continued use in applicants for job interviews and ripping off the average citizen with phony claims of accuracy to settle trust issues. The just absolutely do not work to any degree of reliability.

With regard to Kim, I've been to rehab. Most people relapse even with 90 days. 30 days isn't enough to bring about meaningful change as you are only just starting to begin to think clearly. And it helps to be removed from your normal home environment for as long as possible because when you go back home after rehab, you may just be beginning to get help for your problems but your loved ones likely haven't gotten help for their issues, so you're going right back into the same old life, the same old environment and that's extremely hard for addicts. So that's why when you do get home, you need to be committed to a 12 step program with a sponsor. There may be some addicts out there who got sober on their own, or sober after the first try, or sober after only 30 days of treatment, but 99. 999% of us need help in the form of treatment and/or a 12 step program and/or working with a sponsor. And even then we often slip before recommitting to sobriety. So Kim making demands and saying she will only do 30 days isn't getting serious about sobriety, that's someone who is only going away at that point to please their loved ones. And that's okay, everyone needs to hit their bottom, and hopefully when in treatment, they change their minds and want to fully commit.
Don't know why I felt led to share this but I've been trying to get sober for 5 years doing everything except what I really needed to do - go back to rehab, do a 12 step program, work with a sponsor. Happy to say I'm currently sober. Hopefully someone out there can benefit from something I've shared here!

you have to laugh everytime Dr Phil criticises enablers-his son jay is 380 pounds of useless, Every job and dollar he has ever had Phil gave him, his only idea was dr on demand(the worst financial flop Dr Phils had, jays ''the doctors'' job ''executive producer'' involves no work and a high salary I suppose this is so phil and dobin hand him a bit less cash each week. He's hollywoods most underpowdered running joke since ''The Doctors'' hit the air, complete with cheesy infomercials for buds, peelers etc, Jays idea, and he helped source some of the no brand, low quality products but his biggest and last paycheck is in the future when he's an 'heir''. There is a second son but he's 100% different, he will not use the family name or money to his advantage and is a really good and admirable person-maybe dobin has answers. If Dr Phils so smart how come he's never heard of the word ''nepotism''. Dr Phil you and dobin are enabling jay to do nothing, achieve nothing except get fatter-make him support himself, expect more from him than grandkids, ask coach mike ''phil you are an enabler''

So called Dr. Phil CAN NOT help or fix these people because he bases his beliefs scientifically. These people suffer from demonic spirits. We all struggle from them and most dont and wont recognize this as fact. There are thousands of different kinds of bad spirits. of temptations, of perversion, of pride, of drama, of ego, of anger, of hate, of jealousy, of chaos, of drama, of envy and on and on. ALL these spirits come with lying and come in multiple/groups. Never one bad spirit without another and always one being the more dominant. When dealing with someone who is promiscuous, cheating wife or husband we are dealing with one of the top dogs of bad spirits and that is the spirit of Jezabel. and again these spirits dont dwell in us without the company of other spirits. Once we recognize the true nature behind why people do what they do, it is then that a person can be free.

People like Madison actually had a good point, being on the show isn't really going to help her problem is going to make it worse with all these people watching and judging, dr. Phil is in a certified therapist at all. there could be more to the problem than we think with Madison reasons why she act the way she does. I had my mother actually tell me multiple times that she will put me on the dr. Phil show if I do not change my act and it's not going to really help my point at all not only that we got to understand if somebody's rejecting therapy it means they're scared to confront their problems and takes a lot of willpower to actually get therapy and seeing the way she acted hit hard. In my perspective at a point in time I didn't want therapy due to me being afraid of what would happen if I say something wrong but all I can say is that I hope Madison is a better mind set now.

It's true: If you so much as threaten to spank your child nowadays, they can easily pick up the phone and dial Child Protective Services. Full disclosure: I'm not a parent and have no intention of ever being one. That out of the way, when I hear about cases like some of these, I consider how my mother would have handled the situation had I behaved as some of these brats do. My conclusion? She would have done everything she had to to put the fear of God into me and she would have made damn sure there was no way I'd find a phone within my reach.

I actually met Nicholas Brendon. It was a meet & greet at a bowling alley. We all bowled together and then he had some pictures there that he signed and they were done in front of you. (instead of him signing them ahead of time and we got our pictures taken with him. This was after he got help. He's really a Great guy, we had a blast that night.

#6 Holy crap I know Sarah! She now has another child she has custody of and is sober. She was my roomate in sober living and she has a brother too who was also in sober living. We didnt get along very well and we all knew she was on Dr. Phil but this is my first time seeing it. Im glad shes doing better now.

Don't be a chicken and take the abuse of your abusive daughter. Kick her out of the house and throw her into the wild(world) to fend for herself. The daughter needs discipline. A parent that doesn't discipline their kids isn't a parent. If you love your child. You would whop them into shape when needed

I think on Nicholas Brendon episode he felt attacked. He did come on the shower to talk about the demons he was battling I dont think he was trying to be the poster boy for anything I think people feel like for an addict to get better it has to be perfect like people just dont relapse you know
reply

Opening: Well, so much for getting help.
When does Dr. Phil help? All he does is make people with mental health problems look like a jackass and makes his audience laugh and make fun of them at what they're going through before sending them away to get help off screen.

It's almost like people don't like being talked down to when they're already at a low point in their lives. Phil (he's NOT a doctor) makes it a point to act self righteous and arrogant every time a guest says something he doesn't like.

What about America's Next Top Model contestant Jael? She walked off and Dr. Phil chased her down. He even told her that he normally doesn't go after people but he was very concerned about her health. She ended up dying.

Brittany's real name is Bethany Ann Good and holy cow the news articles about her online are insane. She really went all out with her stillborn claims. In my opinion, she's the craziest out of all the walk outs.

I especially liked the inclusion of the Nicholas Brendon interview (at the end) because it featured him - after walking out the first time - returning to the show and apparently taking up Dr Phil's offer of rehab.

All these white women are still out free after one or two crimes/offenses? If they were black they wouldve gotten 1-8 years. Juvenile system, jail, prison, probation.
PS Im WHITE.

Dr Phil is a dipst. Never liked him, good that they walked off. I wouldn't put up with ST either. He helps no one and he has no right to tell people what to do. HE IS NOT A DOCTOR!
reply

Why are they taking their dirty laundry to a television show? Man, some folks! Not that I condone Dr. Phil's show. He should know that the viewers are just looking to criticise.

Wow Suzannes husband is not a bad sort - she looks like a creature from Troll Hunter - with a horrible nasty cruel personality to match. Surely that man can do better?
reply

Madison probably was forced to go to Turn Around Ranch. I absolutely hate how Dr. Phil uses that place, it abuses its patients and subjects them to animal abuse.

Women who Fake pregnancies with several diff men for years get mad when they think someone lies to them after they lied a million times to everyone in their life

I was sorry to hear that about Kim Richards. I haven't kept up with her for in years, but I had a bit of a crush on her when she played Ruthie on Hello, Larry.
reply

lol. All of Dr. Phil is fake, he just pulls in crazy people that will blow up on stage to exploit for views. That's how he makes 70 something million a year.
reply

Kami passed not long after her show aired. I was hoping she could recover because she really seemed like a warm soul, just caught up in addiction. RIP.
reply

Wow I guess these guests dont want to hear the truth so they decided to walk off stage and on dr Phil help too. Im so surprised about The Buffy star too.
reply

I don't watch Dr. PHIL. Can't stand him. Why does anyone go on the show. He is an asshole, not a doctor, and a bad therapist. So why am I glued to this?
reply

The most healthy thing anyone could do is walk off the Dr. Phil Show before he sends them to abusive treatment centers #breakingcodesilence
reply

9: 20 And even pushing the camera man. I don't know why, but it really bothers me that you said that. It's such a cheap, felonious exaggeration.
reply

These people did it right by walking off. Who wants to sit and have their dirty laundry aired on national television by an out of touch old man?
reply

Dr. Phil is part of the deep state he was brought in from Oprah Winfrey and he knows best about child molestation he is an actual participant
