What More Can I Say? should be higher on this list honestly - though I would still argue that What Would I Do? is the superior love song from falsettos. While the former is more about how happy Marvin is in his and Whizzer's relationship at that point in time, the latter encapsulates their whole relationship throughout the show and how they care about each other so deeply.
Moral of the story: I'm right, Ms mojo is wrong, and you should give falsettos a watch if you haven't already. That's all.

I'm convinced that the relationship of Anna and the King is platonic. They had a mutual epiphany that led to a more open and respectful relationship, and he made himself vulnerable by dancing poorly at first. She prepares to leave before becoming anything like one of his harem, and he dies. I give a big thumbs up to Suddenly Seymour. And I wonder whether there is space in here for The Song That Goes Like This (Spamalot.

Um this list lost all credibility with the DHE inclusion. Ah yes, love song trying to discredit the abuse you've been through and how he said all these things that would be real weird from a brother, by the new abuser and absolute trash human, Evan.

I don't know how the following could have been omitted: 1. Make Believe, Show Boat. 2. If I Loved You, Carousel. 3. Some Enchanted Evening, South Pacific. Honorable Mention: 1. Heather on the Hill, Brigadoon. 2. Love Look Away, Flower Drum Song

If I were a Bell from Guys & Dolls - I always fast forward thru that scene in the movie where they replaced with with something insipid and forgettable, What I Did for Love from A Chorus Line, and What I Did for Love from A Chorus Line.

Genuinely think As Long as Your Mine shouldn't have even made the list let alone been Number 1! It would probably be last on my list of songs in Wicked even even though it's one of my favourite musicals!
reply

All I Ask of You deserves 1st place thoughhh.
Dont get me wrong, I cant stand Raoul at all and wish Erik wouldve killed him. But the song was so good.
I love As Long as Youre Mine as well though.

reply

What, was there a chronological cutoff or something -- like about 1990, so that the entire golden age of Broadway musicals was excluded? Oh, that's right -- there was one from West Side Story.
reply

I thought all the musicals had to originate on Broadway? Why is Phantom of the Opera (West End) on the list?
Also, who picks If I Could Tell Her over Only Us as the best love song from DEH?

reply

All the Things You Are from Its very warm for springtime (1934 about) is my favorite. Its been covered by a number of jazz and opera musicians and singers and is a fabulous love song.
reply

I feel like I can hear the bells is more of an I want sing than a love song. I feel like Youre timeless to me or without love shouldve been the song from Hairspray to make this list.
reply

I hear the bells is my go to audition song! I feel like Hairspray is such a cute musical! I played Penny 2 years ago and it was so so so so so so so fun
reply

After Christine tells Rall about the phantom. Rall then vows. ;'D It always takes me out when I realize the narrator has never seen these movies.
reply

I wish Take It Like A Man had made the list, and Easy To Love from Anything Goes literally moves me to tears every time, it's so beautiful.
reply

Literally all of my favorites: (Something to Believe In, Wait for Me, and In a Crowd of Thousands) were honorable mentions. WHY
reply

come what may and all i ask of you, will always be the most romantic songs of broadway that ever existed and youll never change my opinion
reply

K we all saying helpless or you'll be back but, what about 'this one's mine' aka helpless first sketch, the lyrics and vocals ugh XD
reply

7: 37 somewhere is my favorite song! And what about the song something good by julie andrews from the sound of music? That's a good one!
reply

I KNEW IT
I was getting scared as long as youre mine wouldnt be on the list. And then it was number one! YES your taste is perfect

reply

Last Night of the World, Elaborate Lives and Written in the Stars are better than half the songs in this travesty of a top 10.
reply

Yaassss! As Long As Youre Mine and Something to Believe in made the list!
(Newsies and Wicked are my favorite musicals)

reply

I honestly feel they should do musicals of all time on and off broadway. Like sersiously it would make much sense
reply

I personally would have included Ten minutes ago I met you. From Rodgers and Hammersteins Cinderella.
