Really, how is Anna turning into an ice cube better than Pocahontass love for John Smith but also her people to stop a freaking war? Not to mention she helped her father see how wrong he was fighting out of revenge and that nothing good would come from hatred and violence but destruction for everyone! I personally dont think Moanas was higher all because she resurrected a goddess from nearly dying because Maui started the entire mess. Though I will give credit to Cinderella for defending Anastasia, finally having the courage to stand up to her very hateful stepmother who threatened her own daughters life. Also as much as Mulan single-handedly defeating the huns through her cleverness and quick thinking when even General Li unfortunately couldnt stop the brutal warlord. I seriously think Pocahontas deserved 1 because she not only saved John Smith, her people and his, but helped almost everyone there see how wrong their actions were, confirming to her father she truly would one day become a great chief of her tribe and doesnt need a man to protect her. Not to mention as abysmal as the sequel was, she even managed to prove John Rolfes initial thoughts wrong all because shes a woman that women dont belong in politics and stood up to King James even after she was arrested and he even snarled You came back despite knowing it could cost you your life She wasnt afraid to become a martyr for her people! Not even in the end as much as she wanted to go with him more than anything, she understood how much her people needed her more and made a heartbreaking but mature decision by asking him to go back without her knowing they might not ever see each other ever again.

And then again, along Kovu, she had the courage to stand in between two rival armies and advocate peace - and manage to actually convince them. And then, she even did everything she could in order to save Zira, who did so many evil things in her life and wanted to kill her. Truly, she's one of the best Disney princesses.

I love all these princesses. However, I do wish they had put Esmeralda on the list. Even though she's not an official princess, she has all the qualities to be one, she's beautiful on the inside and out, she's kind, she's brave, she's strong, she stands for what's right, and even when Frollo offers her to be saved from being burned at the stake if she chooses to be his, she doesn't give up her freedom to Frollo even if it means she'll be burned. Who doesn't love that part when she spits straight in his face?

I think Anna's attitude is beautiful, saving her sister that she could hate (not that it's Elsa's fault) but her attitude that made her my favorite princess, that made me idolize this woman it was when Anna broke the dam, which was the hardest part, I think this act of hers is at the level of Mulan or Moana, she not only saved Arendelle, she saved a people that were not hers, doing what was right! Anna is badass and no early marriage can change that.

Also, technically Pocahontas and Moana aren't princesses, though I guess you could argue being the daughter of the tribal chief is kinda similar.
And a one last thing, Anna and Elsa at the end of their 2nd movie are a queen and 5th elemental spirit respectfully. XD

The thing is, nobody's talking about the fact that TWO of these heroic acts were from the SAME FRANCHISE. And you can't tell me to Let it go, because are there any other similar franchises with two main characters? No. So Frozen is basically cheating in this list by getting two spots, even if they are different movies, they are still in the same franchise.

The scene when Pocahontas prevented the earth deserved a position more high, she also left John Smith go. Anna deserved a lower position, because she had fallen in love with the first man she met and she discovered his real nature only at the end, anyway, you have done the right choice for the first position, Mulan is one of my favourite Disney Princesses

Even though she was lioness. Kiara from Lion King 2 stopped the war (with help from Kovu) between her pride and Kovu's. and does her best to save Zira. again she was a lioness however she was the daughter of Simba. who became the lion king. so in turn she's also a Disney princess. at least to me: ) (sorry for any spoilers)

Merida is my favourite Disney princess, I would put Mulan as my favourite Disney princess but she isn't actually royalty unless you count the fact that she is PROTECTOR of royalty but otherwise she isn't really a princess.
