In my higher school a lot of girls would had been sent home or suspended if they dressed like the girls in
Never Been Kissed - Bikini tops, tank tops, low cut-tops showing belly, body-tight pants
Mean Girls - Heels, mini skirts, and the bra trend they were wearing

reply

this was kinda clickbait! the only outfits i found outrageous were in confessions of a teenage drama queen because they were significantly different every time, compared to other films which had an overall style. tho hackers is probably the most unique in this whole list.
reply

I just knew Clueless would be at the top of this list! Cher was so over the top yet very iconic as well. Very surprised by not seeing Mean Girls or Heather's on this list. Plus anyone ever see Pretty In Pink? Iona's outfits alone should be considered way over the top.

Seeing Jamie Pressly in that clip from cant hardly wait just confused me. I was like that HAS to be Margot Robbie, but wouldnt she have been like 8 when this came out?
I never realize how identical they look when Jamie was around her age

reply

an honourable mention (mostly because its a tv show) definitely goes to Alex in Wizards of Waverley Place because. wow. Its even worse that the first (or one of the first) is entirely about going crazy over clothes and they are. not good

When I was a kid, I had no idea Gucci was a brand and it was just British slang for a super short dress. I can't believe my mom never corrected me. Also, I felt my childhood in this whole video and lots of my outfit decisions. Love it.
reply

Laney looked messy in oversized clothes and they tried to hide her face behind glasses, but it didn't work. I could tell she has a pretty face. Its been over 20 years since She's All That and Rachael Leigh Cook looks the same.

I completely forgot about the movie stuck in the suburbs lol I cant believe Terran Killam was playing a heartthrob pop-star. Dont get me wrong hes handsome, but looking back he is a strange choice for that role

This list has almost all my favourite movies, when I got Disney plus it was only so I could watch Lindsay Lohan movies and Lizzie McGuire (yes my surname is Maguire but its the Irish spelling )
reply

I mean the Lizzie McGuire movie wasnt that far off except for the performance outfits. But in the show it was not how I dressed lol. I did not match my nails to each outfits every week.
reply

Lindsay Lohans Avril Lavigne inspired outfit in freaky Friday was quite normal tho. Especially in the early 2000 era. I mean, my aunt used to dress like that. she was a teen at that time.
reply

Me watching this: yeah! That was weird. Mhm yep. I agree. That one was doofy.
Ms. mojo: then there's Romeo and Juliet.
Me: HUSH YOUR MOUTH! THAT WAS A BEAUTIFUL MOVIE! Q_Q

reply

So don't feel bad because I too felt personally attacked about these clothes lmao! I still own a crap ton of these items and would gladly buy more of them if I could find them!
reply

That whole Lizzie McGuire movie was so awkward! But I will always love the Spice Girls Spice World movie. Their music was that good that I can overlook the acting.
reply

Freaky Friday's fashion was actually really toned down and completely normal for that era. Lotta people dressed like her. No idea why that was added to the list.
reply

I had 10 different outfits just like what Cher had in the movie's I mix match them alot. yes us girls in the nineties did wear those outfits in clueless
reply

Wait are there any apps where you upload your wardrobe and put clothes on yourself like a paper doll. If not, why hasn't that happened yet?
reply

Another lindsay lohan movie that should have been on this list is get a clue! that has iconic late90s/early 00s fashion, way more than HMS does
reply

I see your Freaky Friday and raise you Josie and the Pussycats- perfection in the ' colourful caricature of rock n roll teen fashion' bracket.
reply

ummmm Freaky Friday didn't have Linsay Lohan in outrageous clothes? Its called punk rock and a lot of teens wore that to school in the 90s.
reply

It always annoyed me how they got away with crop tops and brightly dyed hair yet every school i went to made us dress like were in a cult
reply

I get that Lindsey Lohan already has two movies on her list but why wasnt Mean Girls mentioned! At least give it an honorable mention!
reply

Look I like the lizzie mcguire movie and confessions of a teenage drama queen but hey spice world is my favorite movie from the 90's
reply

some were not that outrageous, and Spice World and HSM should be higher! also is Romeo + Juliet really considered a teen movie?
reply

I went to private high school: a lot of these looks wouldnt be allowed at the high school I went to unless we had a casual day!
reply

Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
The Lizzie McGuire Movie
High School Musical
Jawbreaker
The Cheetah Girls

reply

lizzie maguire had graduated from highschool, NOT junior high. if you're gonna do videos get your facts straight.
reply

Can we talk about the movie thirteen? Like omg I am always shock about the history, the characters and the outfit
reply

Yass I'm glad you mentioned Stuck in the Suburbs. Danielle Panabaker was such fashion goals when I was a teenager
reply

Meanwhile my friend was just bothered by the prom scene in Jawbreaker where the teacher wore her glasses
