These oddly satisfying Disney moments send a shiver of content down our spines. For this list, well be looking at the most strangely comforting moments from Disneys animated films, rather than moments that are traditionally gratifying to watch, like when a villain gets whats coming to him. The top Oddly Satisfying Disney Moments that I recognize and enjoy watching are Belle's Ladder Slide from Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas' Braid from Pocahontas, Magically Making the Dress & Cake from Sleeping Beauty, Rafiki's Painting from The Lion King, Snow White's Pie Crust from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Making Ratatoouille from Ratatouille, Applying & Removing Makeup from Mulan, Woody's Cleaning from Toy Story 2, Perfectly Shaped Cake from Lilo & Stitch, Merida's Perfect Shot from Brave, Flawlessly Cut Ice Blocks from Frozen, Ursula Putting on Lipstick from The Little Mermaid and The Shoe Fits from Cars

Any moment of lions purring in the Lion King franchise as a whole - feline purring is always very soothing. It's literally designed to be.
Fun fact: in real life, lions DON'T purr. They're big felines, and these roar and make other sounds akin to that, but they don't purr or meow - that something only small felines do. Mountain lions and cheetahs though, despite being huge, are actually small felines, and so, they do purr.

Ratatouille just in general is a very appealing movie to watch but especially the cooking scenes. I had never seen the Snow White pie scene though and even though I braid my hair a lot I never found the Pocahantas one to be too satisfying maybe because it was so quick idk. Still love these movies though sometimes I watch them all just for these moments too.

When I was a kid I had a bunk bed where the stairs slide from one side to the other. Tried to do Belle's smooth ladder slide but instead the screech of wood on wood added with the yell of an angry mother
Also every time I put shoes on Barbie's feet I imagine the Cinderella scene

I love Woody's cleaning in Toy Story 2, and that's one of the reasons why Toy Story 2 will always be special to me. But I think another really satisfying moment in a Disney movie (specifically Pixar) is Flick and the others making the bird in A Bug's Life.

Fun fact: The old man cleaning and fixing Woody has most likely been confirmed that that is the same old man as the one playing chess at the beginning before A Bug's Life movie starts on DVD or and in the mini movies Disney Pixar creates.

There is one thing I don't understand about tvs. How can Snow White (1937) be in colour, while Doctor Who (1963) and other tv shows released around the same time were in black and white?

I am so with them on their pick for number one. The best part of the scene is Lady Tremaines look of total shock after Cinderella reveals the other slipper. I love it every time.
reply

All of it was satisfying!
But one of my favorite is Woody was being cleaned up
And the one who gave voice to Mulan is Lea Salonga and Lea Salonga has a very short hair

I'm not gonna argue, Woody's restoration is my favorite oddly satisfying moment in Disney animated history. The best part has to be when Woody finally gets his arm back on.

I recall that magic scene in Sleeping Beauty being my absolute favorite as a child. Also, am I the only one that thinks Lion Kong somehow made a worm look. Appetising?
reply

I seriously doubt the Dwarfs would have cared about the birds helping with the cake-These guys never even bathed or washed themselves until Snow White showed up!

My favorites go to Mulan
Also how does the prince not remember her face, voice, or even her hair but decided that he wants to marry her (Cinderella)

That one scene from Wall-E when he was collecting junk and it coming out as a perfect cube definitely is an honorable mention.
reply

One of the most oddly satisfying moments for me is in a bugs life when all the ants are floating down on the leaves
reply

My favorite satifying moment is when Elsa builds her ice castle in Frozen. everything is perfectly symmetrical.

I thought I was literally the only one that always thought about how satisfying the woody cleaning scene is-

The look on evil stepmother's face when she saw the other half of the glass slipper is so much satisfying.
