I think Joey and Pacey were the better couple, but the friendship between Joey and Dawson was special too. The people who say there's no chemistry there at all I don't get. Katie might have fancied Joshua, but I'm sure sure she had a good bond with James too. As characters,
I feel they have a lot in common. They are both ambitious, impatient, both a bit dramatic. I think that makes them great friends. I think Dawson is too obsessed with his career to be a good boyfriend/partner (to any girl for that matter. Pacey has more space for Joey in his life.

i think i'm not really comfortable with Dawson when he asked Joey to sleep next to him just because they're old friends. Joey said no, but Dawson didnt understand. I was questioning about 'the circumstance' at that time like. is it okay to lil bit pushy to your friend, since there're many stereotypes male and female relation. hahaha but i have to agree that Dawson wasn't good character.

I disagree about the Joey Dad thing. It wasn't a family matter it was a right n wrong matter. The rest are 100% accurate. But number 1 isn't the worst. He is however a selfish, manipulative, rude, egotistical idiot n is only 2nd to Ross as 'The Worst' male character ever written in a main lead role.

I started watching the series some months ago. Im amazed by how a complete asshole he is. Yet his parents treat him like hes a perfect angel, quote the silent hero of everyones lives. He is awful and yet the main character, hes too much. I feel no sympathy for whatever little hardship he experienced.

I thought Dawson was a great character. All this hate he gets baffles me. He was sheltered and had a certain cookie cutter view of the world, so when things didn't go his way he didn't know how to handle it. But he always eventually came around and did the right thing. Haters

I agree that Dawson was the WORST and Also Joey is too. She is fng annoying, self-righteous, and indecisive to be a likable character. She's a terrible girlfriend to both Pacey and Dawson, and she never seems to be happy with what she has.

I don't agree with the video, I can 100% relate to Dawson. he's a very kind and nice his who just lost in life and trying to be happy and achieve his goals. I know Pacey is the fan favorite but he can't be relatable to most men cuz he always get what he wants easily

I think the criticism on Dawson is exaggerated. Yes, he has his flaws, he can be stubborn, inflexible. But that makes him human and the show interesting if you ask me. He has his good and bad traits and tries to make the best of his life like all of us.

One of his other worst moments on the show is the big ultimatum. Whenever you fall someone, especially if it's the best friend of your soulmate, the other person should say that they're happy for you guys. Not cool Dawson. They were your best friends.

I always loved Pacey and hated Dawson. But one thing I did hate about Pacey or how the writers set up Pacey and Andys relationship to clean Pacey up for Joey. I liked Pacey w/Andy and thought their relationship could have been fleshed out a bit more

I have a theory: Dawson is an autobiographic character, so the author made every other character to love him and say constantly how great he is, but the portrait is a little too good, and the author was actually not a loveable person at all.

Not that this justifies Dawsons behavior in the slightest, but Jen verbally said in the first episode that she was a virgin, so Dawson didnt assume she was, he was under the impression she was a virgin because she told him she was.

Joey Potter is obviously the worst and most unlikeable character on the show. Hands down. By the end of the show Dawson is basically the only likeable one in the whole show. Everybody becomes awful by the end.
