I was going to be so upset if Iroh forgiving Zuko and being the most amazing parental figure of all time wasnt at #1 because THAT is TRUE unconditional love. Thank you Ms. Mojo.
This scene perfectly represents Iroh as a parental figure who unconditionally loves and supports his child figure through everything that has happened. It is the true final example as to how much more of a loving father Iroh was to Zuko than Ozai. Ozai was abusive and Iroh the complete opposite. Even when he was upset at Zuko or raised his voice, he NEVER stopped loving Zuko. As someone who doesnt have parents like that, I cried so hard when I first saw this scene because Iroh is the kind of parent every child deserves. THAT is what makes this scene my #1.

Uncle Iroh is my second favorite character. Zuko is my favorite because of his character arc. However I cant deny that Iroh steals the show because of his personality, funny moments, love and guidance for Zuko and his wisdom. Iroh is like a combination of Mr. Miyagi, and Yoda.

Iroh telling aing that even if you're in a dark tunnel and don't see the light at the end, you will find the light if you keep going. While leading him in light with his firebending explains exactly how he was. Leading people away from darkness with his own light.

I absolutely adore the show and Iroh character which he was the heart of the show. Agreed with the list definitely some of the best moments and my favorite moments was he sings that song in remembering his son and forgives Zuko great emotional scenes. Man tears

Iroh has been one of my biggest role models. I often quote him when I help others or advise others. probably his wisest lessons are that perfection and power are overrated and that true humility is the way forward.

I may not have a chance to bear children due to a condition. But if I do get lucky and have a son, I'll name him after Iroh. He is the best character of all time. Literally the father everyone wished they had.

What ever you do to that spirit I'll unleash on you tenfold! LET IT GO NOW! Is probably one of my favorite lines. We all knew Iroh was powerful before but that scene gave us visual proof

If Im wrong about what number 1 is, Im going to be very disappointed.
Edit: it was #2, and while I personally wouldve swapped them, I cant complain much about what got #1.

the most heartbreaking is forgiving Zuko for letting him rot in prison saying I was never angry with you I was scaried you'd lose your own way
reply

He was the best character basically every time he spoke. When he wasn't being the wisest, he was being the funniest.

For a moment I couldn't understand how Leaves from the Vine wasn't his best moment. Then I saw how he forgave Zuko
reply

Only missing an honorable mention of him pretending to have been paralyzed by Nyla because June was good looking.
reply

My heart broke every time Zuko talked about how strongly he wants his father to love him in front of Iroh.

Numbers 2 and 1 on this list made me cry. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! It also proves that Iroh has a big heart.
reply

Calling Azula crazy is proof that Iroh values non-toxic relationships over blood relationships. Love it.
reply

Every time I heard leaves from the vine gets me to wish I could help my dad survive a little while longer.
reply

You left out the best part of Iro roasting Zhao: Even in exile, my nephew is more honorable than you.
reply

When they say with age comes wisdom definitely meant Iroh. He's the kind of old man I would listen to
