You should do this list again and this time include some of these guys.
Loki: abandoned by his biological father and was treated as second fiddle by his adopted father
Darth Vader: was a slave as a child and eventually twisted into what he became thanks to Emperor Palpatine
Darth Maul: met a similar fate to Vader but without being a slave to Watto but he also lost his brother to Palpatine.
Joker ( Joker 2019) I don't remember what his backstory was but I do know that it was sympathetic.
Steppenwolf ( Snyder Cut): all he wanted was to earn forgiveness from Darkness for his past mistakes only for his evil nephew and boss to reject him and crush his head.
Black Manta ( Aquaman): he lost his father thanks to Aquaman in fact Aquaman even callously left both of them to die. No wonder Black Manta was so full of rage throughout most of the movie.
Zemo ( Captain America Civil War) the guy lost his family to the carelessness of the Avengers in Age of Ultron and as a result he lost everything and everyone he cared about)
Two Face ( The Dark Knight) one of the victims of Joker's chaotic rampages which even involved in him essentially losing HALF HIS FACE.

Excuse me, but Snape and James had an equal rivalry.
ALL the spells we see James use on Snape were invented BY Snape.
Snape also did things like call Lily a mudblood and, you know, became a wizard Nzi.
Oh and Snape also was the one who cast the spell that made George Weasley lose his ear. just to name a few.
It is not love to do things like rip apart one of the few pictures Harry has of his parents with him together, just so Snape can pretend Lily is smiling at him and not with her family.
It is not love to ignore a crying 1yo and hug the dead body of a woman who CHOSE not to be with Snape.
He wasn't tragically in love nor was he a victim. HE was the bully. HE made Neville's toad Trevor drink Neville's potion and when Trevor didn't die he took 10 point from Gryffindor because Hermione had helped Neville. HE said to 12 yo Hermione I see no difference when her teeth started to grow so much she almost chocked on them.
and you can bet if Voldy hadn't killed Lily, Snape would've been his N 1 man.

Before we can go any further Frankenstien's Creature isn't a villain in the true sense he is misunderstood and he does have a name in other stories his called Legion and has other names in books which are not by Mary Shelly but we also know him from the Munsters Herman Munster the creation of Doctor Frankenstien is a patchwork of humanity yes his undead not a zombie but something more a mutant perhaps his the first in publication not a comic book creation a man made mutation, monster or something else? Bizarre Nature Of Science and the medical sciences he really was a major gothic novel hero or a monster and something else?

gotta be honest lads, i don't like the fact that they gave Hannibal a sad backstory, he was just the perfect psychopath character, i always imagined he he had a perfect upbringing, excelled in school, and eventually picked up his hobbies.
they felt the need to humanize him because many people started loving the character, especially after the series, and that gave other people conflicting feelings. and what better way to do it than Nazis? :D Nazis are like the flextape of hollywood. wanna make a movie where people get blasted but you don't want the audience to feel bad? Nazis!

Petunia Dursley ought to have been on the list, as Petunia has the saddest background story of all the Harry Potter characters.
Petunia and Lilly started out as happy little girls-sisters who loved to play together. Then Lilly got magical powers, while Petunia sadly got none at all-and as if that were not enough, their own Mum and Dad favored Lilly because of this, giving Lily special attention, while neglecting Petunia. We might hate the cold, sour, bitter Aunt Petunia, but we can't not feel sorry for her when we learn of the sad, neglected little girl she once was.

I once read an article arguing that the real villain of the Wizard of Oz is Glenda the Good Witch, which had some really good points. As this video points out, all the Wicked Witch wants is a family heirloom, but the article further points out that Glenda just manipulates Dorothy to do her bidding instead of letting her know how the shoes work until the end of the movie. She also seems amused by the Witch's grief, which is honestly kinda sociopathic.

One of my favourites is John Cramer the original jigsaw killer he was miss diagnosed and therefor didn't find out he had cancer till it was to late and his wife lost there baby when a person slammed a door on her stomach whilst robbing the place she worked
He only wanted people to appreciate life and stop taking it for granted also he never actually killed anyone as all his traps were survivable

Bruh snape is not a villain hes an antihero u may as well have added Bucky Barnes if u were including anti heroes also I feel like Bellatrix Lestrange couldve made it on the list Ik her backstory isnt talked about a lot but basing off of Sirius blacks backstory and the fact she turned out rlly crazy and theyre both from the same family it couldnt have been a pleasant childhood

It all depends on where you look, but the Bayverse incarnation of Megatron is actually quite tragic. Before you flip, hear me out! He was a warrior prince who was seen as Sentinel Prime's second choice for leadership of Cybertron. All because Megatron wasn't born a Prime like his brother Optimus. It's heartbreaking, or rather sparkbreaking to say the least.
reply

Oh by the way if magneto was a true villain why is it always him saving the x mens ass. Let's see apocalypse he saved everyone first class saved everyone x men united he saved everyone days of futures past the sentinels would have destroyed the mutants if quicksilver hadn't gotten him out of isolation and once again magneto saved everyone

Harley is more of an anti-hero than a villain. Most of the evil deeds she did were when she was with her puddin the Joker. When not with him, she is not so much evil as stained by what she did with her Mistah J.

Why is there like a quiet tornado siren sound in the background of all the newer videos? Ive listened on like five different devices/TVs, so I know its not my TV. Its really annoying in the background.

Anakin: I don't like sand.

I genuinely take a pity toward Hannibal, his painful past along with an obsession to take a revenge have turned him into a psychopathic man! However, I love his relationship with Clarice.
reply

Honorable Mention: Sandman from Spiderman. At first he just robbed a bank to get money for his sick daughter and while on the run he accidentally fell into the device that transformed him.

Hannibal Lecter and Magneto are villians created by the nazis. Killing the last remaining nazis without sparing them is the true test of evil. They are so clever for creating them.

Snape was a triple agent and I related to the villans than the heros as a kid. I was a strange kid, I know. The thing is I still relate to some of the villans.
