it's hard to consider kisses unexpected in a romcom - the LOVE ACTUALLY example is pretty good since it wasn't quite a conventional situation - and in action movies the woman is pretty much doomed to kiss the male lead.
One may consider EMPIRE STRIKES BACK to be unexpected because up to then Leia had been more into kissing Luke?
A ROOM WITH A VIEW might have been leading up to a romance situation, but the kiss cited here did happen fairly out of the blue

Another unexpected kiss is in the movie Never Been Kissed after the beginning of the (spoiler alert) ending kiss, there are several other people kissing, very unexpectedly.

I watched this thinking Strange Days would be on the list, as not only is it a surprising kiss, but Angela Bassett and Ralph Finnes are such superb actors that the kiss becomes a culmination of emotions based totally in the characters' hopes and dreams, becoming the perfect ending to a where evil, darkness, and hopelessness were the main themes. Strange Days is also one of Kathryn Bigelow's underappreciated masterpieces.

im my opinion, I think Aladdin & Jasmine's kissing scene was not unexpected. As a child, in my eyes, when the carpet moved, I knew Aladdin and Jasmine would kiss. Plus, if the carpet wasn't even there, they wouldn't have had their 1st kiss.

Most of the kisses lisited were so easy to immagine. The Love Actually kiss was surprising. I wasn't surprised that he loved her. It was pretty obvious. But that she gave him a kiss on the lips at the end of the scene was unexpected.

I have not watched nr 7, 4, 3. But the rest was like. I just knew they were gonna kiss. you just feel it when watching the movies/series. So not suprised about kissing scenes.
