I really loved and missed Jackie-Lynn Thomas. but while this video is still fresh, I want to nitpick the fact that Grey DeLisile is probably too white to voice Jackie-Lynn Thomas, Abby Elliot is certainly not Filipino enough to voice Janna, and Adam McArthur is just white, and not half-Mexican like Marco, so they were very lucky that Star vs. the Forces of Evil ended one year before 2020. Also, Foolduke and Chloe are both semi-prominent black characters in SVTFOE with white actresses. I can't be the only one who noticed SVTFOE's cast was a bit too white, right? If it were up to me to correct this problem, I would have gotten Aubrey Plaza to voice Jackie and Christine Marie Cabanos to voice Janna.
It is not just animated TV shows that were big enough to have online articles commenting on these things, like this one article I found that goes into a lengthy discussion of some whitewasher voice actors from adult cartoon series such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, Rick and Morty, Bojack Horseman, Big Mouth, and Central Park. We should also pay attention to the kids' cartoon series that made the same mistake, but do not want to talk about this sensitive topic in front of children looking for news on them. Vanessa Marshall isn't black enough to voice Irwin from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy! I mentioned Hynden Walch and Nika Futterman to Bill Burnett last year, and he fortunately acknowledged this problem with who voiced Penny and her mom in ChalkZone. He told me I get your point and if I were back there in time making decisions I would probably be more woke. Hynden did a GREAT job [voicing Penny Sanchez] and I loved working with her. But you're right, she's not Latinx and perhaps we erred. I know you will tell me that voice acting is very diverse and anyone versatile enough can voice any race, gender or age, but how can we ensure that Voice Actors Of Color get the equal amount of opportunities to white voice actors?

Really surprised the Korra/Mako breakup (the second one, of course) was not on this list. Everytime I see it, it brings me to tears. Bolin and Korra were never an actual couple (they went on one dinner date, but they had not entered into an official relationship of that nature, and thus never actually broke up. Korra and Mako, on the other hand, just. dang. I knew that breakup was coming, but it still hurt. Even if they weren't great for each other, or chose their careers/duties first, that breakup was heartwrenching. Very mature, and very bittersweet. ;w;
As for Sokka and Yue, at first I didn't really like Yue, when I didn't know what was going on, and I thought she was leading Sokka on, playing with his heart, but after finding out she was engaged, I started to understand. I still was iffy on them trying to pursue some sort of a relationship while she was still engaged to that other guy (were she and Sokka actually girlfriend and boyfriend? Considering she never broke her engagement I have no idea. :'D, but when she chose to sacrifice her own life to restore the Moon Spirit. Dang. Mad respect for that, girl. That was very brave and selfless. And of course, I felt for poor Sokka. He would never have a chance to see what they could have become. Who knows? If she had lived, Yue just might have broken off her engagement to be with Sokka.
Never really watched any of those other shows, so I can't really accurately comment on them, but dang. Didn't know there were so many cartoon breakups. ;w;

I would not want anyone to look at my face because they would think I'm ugly. I tried so hard to change my look but nothing worked. It took me a long while to learn this but I learned that just because you got rejected doesn't mean its the end of the world. You just need to find someone who respects you for who you are and they are out there somewhere. Dating is so hard these days even in 2021.

They didn't explain why Gwen told Trent's teammates to vote him off. It was to prove she didn't have anything to do with Trent deciding to throw challenges for her. Still don't see why she owed them anything for what she didn't do, but I blame Justin more for that part. And eventually, in the second Aftermath, Trent not only defended Gwen and said it wasn't her fault, but they sort of resumed a friendly relationship as exes. Last time we saw Trent, he and Gwen still seemed reasonably good.

Ginger and Darren's should have been higher on the list and Beast Boy and Raven's deserves better than Honorable Mention. But I do agree about Sokka and Yue. The whole episode of Avatar the Last Airbender itself was the second reason why I love the series. The first was the episode telling Aang's and Zhuko's backstory simultaneously

Theres also a break-up moment in the Adventure Time Distant Lands special Obsidian where Marceline dumps Princess Bubblegum with a reason you suck break-up song called Woke Up which she calls out PB for her rule and calling her certain names like a dictator in a way and so dumb and a walking talking candy tragedy!

Not gonna lie, Korra and Mako was an atomic blackpill that I wish I didn't experience, even if they're just fictional characters. It almost felt like Bolin's over the top reaction to witnessing the kiss was meant to be comic relief? But it only made it worse for me. Too relatable.

Honestly star and Marco wasn't destined for each other, their feeling came from the bloodmoon curse, and once they broke it, their feeling went with, so the end where they got together, shouldn't had happened honestly, other then that star vs is ond the best cartoons in my mind

Gonna mention Ben and Julie from Ben 10 Omniverse cause, that WAS a sad breakup. But not sad as in 'tear inducing', sad in just how goddamn PATHETIC it was. All seriousness though, Jake and Rose from American Dragon where their whole relationship got erased.

As Told By Ginger was the most realistic in my opinion, the fact that she panicked and tried to bargain to save it just really hurts. Like. Physically hurts. You can practically feel the lump in her throat and her stomach jumping up as her blood runs cold.

I never seen like the majority of these shows and breakups, but the legend of korra really hit me. I agree the fact the other ones were sadder, but the way Korra just did Bolin dirty like that, made me like, Wow. Just, wow.
