I honestly think the notebook is a meh movie, don't get why everyone thinks it's soooo amazing but that being said considering both my grandmothers had senile dementia where they slipped in and out of knowing what day it is or thought they were 10 years old and didn't know any of the people around them, those scenes with allie not knowing noah or anyone else absolutly broke me so I don't think its a great movie but a very real portrayal of a horrible disease.

I must be one of the few females who hates The Notebook. and before anyone says anything, I _have_ watched it. Threes times. And yet I cant help it: for me its an over cheesy, overdramatic melodrama.
On the contrary, Ive always wanted to watch The Vow and even more so Loving. although Ill quite probably cry the equivalent of the Niagara falls, especially on the first.

I have never seen the movie about the Loving Family but I think I agree with listing it as Number One. If I recall correctly, this occurred a year or two before I met my wife (of 52 years now. She is Asian (Thai) and were it not for these two, I might have been denied the right to marry her.

gonna say it, Titanic is one of the best romances ever. sure it might qualify more as a disaster epic, but the romance was central to the overall story soo with that said, it should have been on this list even if only the romance part was entirely fictional.
