You don't know real heartbreak until you've seen these K-Dramas. For this list, well be looking at the most agonizing scenes in Korean dramas that are guaranteed to make you cry. Our countdown includes On My Venus, Lovestruck in the City, Squid Game, and more! Which K-Drama moment broke YOUR heart?

I'm glad you included Extraordinary You but tbh the most heartbreaking moments in Extraordinary You are Haru discovering that he's the one who killed Dan Oh in past and the other scene being Dan Oh's death in present timeline despite all the struggle to live. In this list, Goblin's death indeed gets me, same with Wang So dicovering Hae Soo's death. In Goblin however one of the most heartbreaking moments in Wang Yeo and Sunny breaking up, Wang Yeo and Kim Shin's face off after discovering the truth and Eun Tak's death. In Moon Lovers too the most heartbreaking moment is Wang Eun's death.
Some shows I would love to be add are Mr Sunshine, My Mister, Stairway to heaven, Winter Sonata, Autumn in my heart, Reply 1988, Queen In Hyun's Man, Touch Your Heart, Hi Bye Mama, Queen Seondok, Snowdrop, My Country, Red Sleeves, Uncontrollably Fond, Hello Monster, Tale of Nine-Tailed, Angel's Last Mission Love, Strong woman do bong soon.

Stairway to Heaven (Jeong Seo dying and Tae-hwa sacrificng himself so Jeong Seo can see again)
Prison Playbook (Han Yang getting arrested again just minutes after he got out, Chul Doo not being able to return to his cell after his operation, Park-Sa forced to change prison)

reply

A couple honorable mentions
Hwarang: (Oh boy) Hansung's death
Tale of the nine tailed: Lee Rang sacrifices himself for his brother
Strong Woman Do Bong-soon: Bong-soon chained to a bomb begging Ahn Minhyuk to leave but he refuses to leave her side.

I don't know if you mentioned these before but the Villianess, the last if us, hello monster, weak hero class 1, school 2017, save me, duty after school, big mouth, the devils judge and one that I think is called Christmas about twins one that is a lil slow
reply

I cried A LOT watching these scenes, specially Goblin and Oh My Venus! But I would add Uncontrollably Fond to the list, when Shin Joon-young starts having memory lapses because of the tumor and doesn't remember the relationship he built with Noh Eul ):

I mean. Where is 2521? That Kdrama. oof, still not recovered entirely, there are a LOT of moments that had me pausing in order to recover, a little, in that show. Or that scene in Itaewon Class. you know the one, when Yi-Seo gets her heart
reply

Crash Landing on You still makes me bawl my eyes out after multiple viewings. And recent cry fests for me were the amazing Tomorrow, Move to Heaven and the Red Sleeve. Love a good cry!
reply

Perhaps it's not good enough to make the list, but for me one of the most heartbreaking moments is the farewell of both versions of Ha-ni in the Hello, me! k-drama
reply

Heartbreaks are just temporary, as some people say. Youll be able to recover gradually. Things dont always go as we want them to be, and thats perfectly normal.
reply

Goblin made me cry like a baby. You must watch Luna Hotel as well, there is also a few tear jerking moments in it and is a beautiful series too.
reply

Those are all very classic kdramas.
Id say you dont know heartbreak until you watched: Mr Sunshine, My Mister, Lost, Hi Bye Mama

reply

No not yet I tried lot of time but I am not crying why with wrong with me I don't know but I never cry nobody see me cry except my mother
reply

Angels Last Mission Love - The first two episodes alone were so hard to get through
18 Again - The Korean version of This Is Us

reply

I always bawl in Uncontrollably Fond when Joonyoung's mom finds out about his illness. Seeing her break down gets me every time.
reply

So happy to see Goblin as the top pick. It was my first k-drama ever, and it broke my heart so dang much. Absolute favorite.
reply

Excuse me, but where is i'm sorry i love you on this list? Even after 15 years, I can't think without feeling sad
reply

I dont know how Bridal Mask and Princess Man didnt make this list. I cried pretty much the whole time through both.
reply

Stairway to Heaven is the real one. If you know you know. That one broke me along with I'm sorry I love you
reply

I know they can't name all Kdrama's with heartbreaking scenes, but for me Skycastle made me cry a lot
