She had NO-ONE to advocate for her other than Chris. Her mom always took Abrahams side. I loved her mom until the series, Im watching it for the 5th time now and Marcella just pisses me off even more. I used to feel so sad for her mom but she never stood up for her daughter. Selena was never allowed to have anything yet AB and Suzette could have the time of their lives. I feel so sad for her and I wish she couldve gotten out of the business, taken all the money that SHE worked so hard for, leave her so called family in the dust and do what she really wanted to do. They were so toxic for her and she only needed Chris.

Chris said in his book that fans would stop by the house and something like the strangers in her living room happened. It wasnt exactly the same but it was similar. I liked the series. It expanded on what the movie couldnt show. Im glad they didnt show what happened in the room. There are crime shows that dramatize it, weve seen it enough elsewhere. Its such a sad and tragic ending to an incredible life, so why not focus on her legacy in the end. She continues to do so much in death that most dont achieve in life. She is still incredible!

I went to Selena's store! My aunt was a big fan and was at her last rodeo performance at the Astrodome. After she died, we went to Corpus Christie(from houston) and visited her grave, home, store, and the days inn. They completely removed yolanda's room number. Its just skipped completely. My sister got a dress at her store but i was only 9 or 10 so i didnt find anything. Also, my friend's mom was a harris county sheriff and saw yolanda saldivar get booked in. Shes going to rot in hell while Selena smiles down on us from heaven.

With the involvement from her family I'm sure alot more of the story was told correctly. Her father, brother and sister were executive producers on the Netflix series. The entire family has been protective of her legacy, rightfully so, knowing that I'm absolutely positive the series had the most accurate account between the two tellings. Movie and Netflix series being what I'm referring to my the two tellings.

The Selena series was garbage; just another way for her greedy family to make moneyoff her legacy. They painted Chris as a needy, jealous, unsupportive husband. And somehow her father was portrayed as a strict but great father. Worst of all, Selena was portrayed as one dimensional. We didn't see the real Selena, just a glittery, goodie two shoes.

I strongly believe that if you're going to do a movie about Selena. you should have had all of the facts about her life and everything that she did down to all of her songs she song. the first Selena movie did that. This 2nd Selena movie only got half of the facts right i didn't like the 2nd movie

This tv series was garbage. The family could've kept that mess. I love Selena but it seemed like they only wanted to pick and choose what they wanted to share. If it's her life and you're trying to tell her story than it needs to be authentic and true to what it was. Not bits and pieces.

I think series II was too short. I was really hoping and looking forward to more of Selena =. Also, we know and not want to remember much of bad Yolanda, but I think alot more of it could have been added to the series part II.

Of course Beyonce met Selena lol, I highly doubt that. Beyonce was not listening to Selena's music cause America wasn't on Selena like that until she passed, only true fans knew about Selena before passing. Girl bye

Listen, I love Selena but this series was not it. The wigs alone were a travesty. Plus Abraham only accepted Chris because they eloped, he didnt have a choice. Thats why Chris was not involved in the series.

Selena is missed. She would have turned 50 this year. Same as me. Someone the same age, dying at such a young age, changes your outlook. She was an amazing person and talented singer.

Chris can now speak Spanish well he struggles a bit but I like that he slows down when he talks in Spanish and tries but I think his Spanish is okay.
