Sad to say, as much as I enjoy Disney, when it came out I wasn't feeling this movie. Also had this irrational hate for seeing Patrick Dempsey's face everywhere. One review I read was that it tried too hard to make fun of itself or something, and I agree. I'll give it another shot, but I hope the sequel has something for me to like. Being a Little Mermaid fan, the one of the few things I liked about this movie was Jodi Benson's cameo. Sorry fans. You guys enjoy.
Slightly unrelated, but can we STOP having 20+ years between sequels? This is getting ridiculous. Next thing you know, they're going to finally make that John Carter sequel because enough time has passed. (I love me some Taylor Kitsch) Edit: I hated Despicable Me on my first viewing, loved it on my second. Sometimes your mood effects how you feel about a movie. Edit: I found the review, but I won't copy/paste. Basically it called the movie too self-aware and stuff. Like I said, I'll watch it again in it's entirety and see how I feel.

Okay I'm going to be a tad contraversial here and venture an opinion. I'd like to state for the record that I LOVE Enchanted, it's one of my favourite movies. And it's for that reason I ask this. do we really need a sequel? It was tied up so nicely, in our minds everyone lives happily ever after. Everyone has their own ideas of what happens to them afterwards, and I fear that because of this, most people won't be happy when they have to inevitably mess up their happy endings for the sake of a sequel. Just feels like they're milking their fanbase a bit. Some things are better left alone. Discuss if you wish! And don't get me wrong. I'm one of the fanbase and I'll be watching it, because I loved the original. But I'd prefer it if it was a true one off Disney classic. Just my opinion

Swan Nayvous. That's my name.
I attend an international school in Japan, and I'm 14 years old.
I was born and raised in Japan, but I'm American.
I enjoy horses, tennis, tea, and Japanese dance. But I like ballet best of all.
I want to be a professional ballerina when I grow up.
My mother and father are second and third in charge at the world-famous Nayvous Foundation.
They think of Japan as home, but spend their time traveling from one country to the next.
That's why everyone thinks I'm some kind of celebrity who can have anything she wants, but.
No matter how big a house I live in, or how many brand name clothes I have.
Being left on my own, with no parents to come home to, makes me feel pretty empty.

Disenchanted has really no chance against upcoming theatrical movies that's why it's the right choice to released it on streaming. We're not in 2000s anymore. Original disney movies like Enchanted won't generate a lot of audience. And besides it's been a decade and a half since the last movie came out and Enchanted is not much of a big or recognizable brand and it won't certainly get to anyone's radar in today's environment filled with a lot of big movies from bigger franchises like DC, Wizarding World, Monsterverse, Conjuring Universe, Fast and Furious franchise, Jurassic Universe, marvel, StarWars, Bond franchise and Mission Impossible franchise.

I loved 'Enchanted' and am very much looking forward to the sequel. As for the question of where to watch it, why that would be Disney+, of course. Although I am really looking forward to going back to movie theaters. I hope they don't go away like everything else from my youth (land line phones, music on vinyl and cassettes, movies on VHS tapes, brick-and-mortar stores and especially shopping malls, and so much more. There's nothing wrong with new technology, but there's something to be said for the experience of sitting in a dark theater with a $30 bucket of popcorn on your lap soaking in a new film in surround sound.

There two things that make me nervous about this. One, it's going straight to Disney+, which to me isn't a good sign and sucks because I would want to see it in theaters as it should be seen. Secondly, this video mentions nothing about hand-drawn animation. How are we going to see Andalasia otherwise and if it's just going to be live-action, that's a sell-out?

I love the first one but. do we really need a sequal? There are some movies that with one is more than enough.
Just like there are some that do need a sequeal like Rise of the Guardians. There is sooo much that needs explaining and Jacks powers that seem to be more than what we think.

I really want to know what they going do about Morgan. Morgan was 6 in the first one and now the original actress who played her is 22 and not currently working as a Actress. Are they going to recast Morgan with another actress (if it set 10 years after Morgan would be 16.

Looks delightful. too bad I have Amazon Prime instead of Disney Plus. I want to see this, but not enough to switch streaming services. I'll have to wait to see if there are eventually other ways to see it.

The problem for me is that I don't have Disney+! So this BETTER be released in theaters, too! I was 7 when the original came out, and I've been dying for a sequel since.
reply

So Enchanted I had cameos from all the Disney Princesses voice actresses.
Who will b in Enchated II?
Kristen Bell?
Mandy Moore?
Naomi Scott?

reply

If they do have the dwarves, I wonder if theyll cast Peter Dinklage and Martin Klebba (Marty from POTC. Perhaps maybe even Warwick Davis from Harry Potter.

I have enough ideas for the Enchanted Universe I could write a novel myself, because, the movie left a lot of loose strings.

The first live-action Disney movie. They might as well make a sequel on it, too. At least this will be original.
