I've heard about Kelly's bullying quite a lot, recently. I'd been hearing for years that Fred Astaire was a harsh taskmaster whose female partners' feet suffered from his perfectionism, but Kelly apparently was a bit over the top with his abusive behavior toward the magnificent Debbie. (Sorry, I tend to be a little mawkish about the mother and daughter) Acting is a tough enough business, but it can't hold a candle to he rigors of dance. When Fred Astaire was asked in an interview what advice he'd give to young people who wanted to pursue a career in dance, he responded with, I'd tell them to be prepared to learn to live with pain.

Julie Andrews told the story about the filming of Do-Re-Mi from the mountaintop. Apparently, the owner of the farm upon which they filmed had his very own Schnapps still in his barn. The adult cast and crew (including Julie) partook while filming and sang that portion of the song completely snookered!

for the 2007 remake of this classic musical, that is all wrong. The 2007 HAIRSPRAY movie is mainly a film adaptation of the 2002 stage musical adaptation of the 1988 John Waters film. It may have been a semi-remake, but not directly.

Speaking of injuries, during the filming of grease lightning, Jeff Conway was dancing on the car, when he slipped and injured his back so bad, that he became addicted to pain killers, which eventually lead to his death.

Yes, Kelly was an absolute jerk to some of his co-stars, including Esther Williams. He had little patience for amateurs (anybody who couldn't dance at his level.

Weve all watched Mama Mia countless times? I suffered through it once because it meant something to someone important to me. Never again without a court order.
