Looks like a show that defines the Western world right now. And why it wont be around much longer. Went through all this stuff that sounded like wisdom. Turns out it just leads to weak, incompetent people in positions where they dont belong. Others in the world who focus on competence, who believe in reality, and arent full of all this vulnerable, slipshod female thinking they will take over the world and under the totalitarian state they will establish, none of this nonsense will be allowed.
Judge. Judge rightly. Judge based on truth. Curiosity is fine, but dont doubt reality. Doubt yourself. If you dont know anything about soccer, you cant be a soccer coach. Only be a goldfish if youre a goldfish. Youre a human. You have longer than a ten second memory.
Feelings dont matter as much as rationality. Quit trying to be happy by ignoring reality. Youre only privileged enough to do so right now because none of our ancestors who built our civilization wasted their time with any of this Ted Lasso crap.

Then one day I was driving my little boy to school, and I saw a quote by Walt Whitman, it was painted on the wall there and it said, Be curious, not judgmental. I like that. (Ted throws a dart)
So, I get back in my car and Im driving to work and all of a sudden it hits me all them fellas that used to belittle me, not a single one of them was curious. You know, they thought they had everything all figured out, so they judged everything, and they judged everyone. And I realized that their underestimating me who I was had nothing to do with it. Because if they were curious, they wouldve asked questions. Questions like, Have you played a lot of darts, Ted? (Ted throws another dart)
To which I would have answered, Yes sir. Every Sunday afternoon at a sports bar with my father from age ten until I was 16 when he passed away. Barbecue sauce. (Ted throws a double bullseye to win the game)

Sickening and trite schmaltz. I can't imagine a British audience would think much of this. Some of the ideas he is supposedly surprising people with (like winning or losing is not the most important thing) are already deeply entrenched in the British psyche.
It's only Americans who are unfamiliar with them.
Him winning the darts match is also pushing the boundaries of belief.
John Park is the only American and indeed the only non-UK darts player ever to win an international tournament.
If Lasso was that good he would be a professional darts player not a football coach.
He is unintentionally offensive through his ignorance which some may see as charming.
The whole world besides the US calls this game 'football'.
Overall it is a cute but highly improbable American fantasy. His sayings are all old hat and unlikely to inspire in real life. although maybe in the USA.

I'm a teacher and I finally caught this show over Christmas. It's brilliant and so positive. I felt I was in a bit of a rut but this show has helped reinvigorate my love for my job due to the way Ted conducts himself in the way he relates to others and how he coaches them. I have 'Be Curious Not Judgemental' up in my classroom, 'Believe in Believe' is due to go up and I've told a few of my kids to 'Be a goldfish' when they hold onto something.

In case anyone was wondering, Ted lasso truly does resemble most American Football coaches, we arent all Xs and Os and keeping players out of trouble with the law. We try to bring the best out of young men and get them to graduate to better their families

Totally hit the nail on the head with the comment about emotions running the gambit. I can't remember another show I've seen where I'm laughing out loud one moment, then getting all misty eyed not 10 minutes later. Everything about this show is just magical.

Ted Lasso - great. This video - awful. Terrible. You destroyed every clip you showed by interrupting and talking over it with the horribly written voiceover you call commentary. Would have been so much better if youd just shut up and play the clips.
