Search Alan Logan, the journalist who went back to investigate everything. He learned based on public records that Frank was inside the prison most of the years when he was 16 - 19 so everything happened from those years was a big f invented aside from the Pan Am case. WRONG. ALL OF THIS IS A LIE. The man is a fraud. HIS ENTIRE STORY IS A FRAUD. HE WAS IN JAIL AND PRISON MOST OF HIS LIFE. He never took or passed a bar exam. He never cashed millions from bad checks ITS ALL MADE UP. Research it. Youll realize its all made up even before hollywood got to it. The FBI was never looking for him because he was so bad at cashing bad checks that he always got caught. He might have gotten away with 1500 dollars. Nowhere near millions. He stole from his ex girlfriend, stole from their family etc.

Actually, Abagnale never worked with the FBI. He was arrested several times during his life, and joined the army at one point.
He also hadn't ever conned people for millions of dollars or even worked as a lawyer. This was thoroughly debunked in 1978 and again in 2021. At most, his use of personal pan am checks amounted to 1500 dollars.
Also, he made a shit ton of lies of who he had scammed and worked for when he was advertising himself as a security consultant for banks.

I still love the movie even though I did now about the Truth about the True Frank especially Him working with the FBI but I didn't know that he didn't run home tat he just escaped because you escaped so many different times is only two different things but thank you cuz that just filled in the gap and of course about the siblings other than that I had Cena true story on him been a little while quick interview with him about it great video keep up the good work

The fact that anyone believes this guy is a testament to how gullible our society is. It has been proven time and time again that all of his outlandish claims are false. The entire span of the movie where he was supposedly being the skyway man he was in a New York jail for petty crimes ripping off old people and mom and pop shops. Do some research people its all made up non-sense.

(Actually, I've maintained for years, after co-writing a script with a Hollywood type, I've come to the conclusion that their motto is, My mind is made up; don't confuse me with the facts) Quite an incredible story, so why Spielberg felt the need to enhance it, is beyond me. It happened and Frank got away with it so long because Democracy is faked up. TRUST ME in N, Korea or China he would have been caught on the 2nd day and he is done for good.

Best scene was when frank betrayed the model in the hotel room when he gave her a check on 1400$ but the price for one night was 1000$. She took the check and gave him 400$ back in cash. Easy money and a free night with a model.

lol Who did the research for this video? Almost none of what you report as fact really happened. Frank made up 90% of what was in the movie. His greatest con was convincing everyone that he was a good con man.

Joseph Shea. Served in WWII in North Africa, Italy and France. Then with the FBI he worked on the Barbara Mackie kidnapping and Frank Abagnale cases. Guy was a real hero. And what a character Abagnale was. Damn.
