Hotch was one of the best characters. but my 1: Hayley's death. 2: Straus's death. 3: Reid's torture 4: Emily's death and Reid and Morgans reaction to her revival. 5: Muave. The series portrayed this as Spencer only option for happiness, other than later on, JJ who was already married with 2 children and in all honesty, her being forced to admit her feelings for him to avoid death seems more like the writers rubbing what could have been in our faces. JJ and Will work well, their children are cute. The Spencer/JJ was long dropped by then. 6: Moseley Lane. The episode with Charlie and the scene where the parents who gave up on their child, found out their child was alive literally the day before. Gosh, i'm not a kid person, but that episode got to me.

Episode 1x7: The Fox, there is this one episode in the first season where this mentally disabled man is explaining to the squad that he went to his sister's home and saw her and her family and a family friend sitting down at the table, having dinner and she saw him and, distressed, labeled get out. and as he recalls the scene he realizes that that wasn't a family friend, it was the killer and her sister was asking him for help. She wasn't saying get out, she was saying get help. He realizes he could have saved his sister and he freaks out.
I have a sister and I think if something like that happened to me, I would never be able to live with it. Knowing that I could have saved her but I didn't because I misunderstood her in the moment of need.

Another one thats sad for me is Nelsons Sparrow because of poor baby Reid learning and having to grieve Gideon, knowing he really isnt coming back now and you remember Gideon never really asked for help and he should have but he didnt as if still protecting his team. The part where Rossi encourages Spence to finish his and Gideons chess game and Reid asking if he knew how and Rossi said who do you think he played with did terrible things to my fragile heart that always hurt after Gideon left to begin with

This is why I absolutely love this show above all other law enforcement shows it's more than just a group of cops it's more than just a bunch of FBI people It's a story about a bunch of people that grew into a family that are actually loving and supporting one another yes I know it's a fictional but to be honest I would rather be hunted down by the criminal minds It's true that anybody else why because at least I know they have absolute true friendship and they're not just doing it for a paycheck

My Number was the episode Sweet Science, where the BAU watched a little boy; die of cancer. Also Solitary Man, the episode in Colorado Minimal Loss and also from Colorado Children of the Dark; also Nelson's Sparrow; Distress; From Louisville Ky. Haunted; From St. Louis the Hollow Man; There are probably more, in fact I know there are more: Az. Foundation, - N. O. Jones, and Las Vegas The Instincts

The whole season of episodes that lead up to Shemar leaving the show, he was and is still my favorite character so seeing him getting tortured and going through what he went through, his fiance/wife (I cant remember if they were married) getting shot and almost dying. Just all of that had be going crazy. But Haileys death, Maeves death, Prentiss fake death, all top moments.

Absolutely love the episode with the young man that has violent urges why because it shows that people that have those urges are not complete psychopaths that just kill people for no apparent reason and it also shows that the Criminal mind Gang Just don't see every criminal to be an evil monster but actual people absolutely love this show I will never stop singing its praises

Mosley Lane is heartbreaking. Not only for the he was alive yesterday? line but also because of Charlies mother. She never gave up hope and tracked every similar disappearance around the area. But everyone thought she was crazy and needed to move on because she was a drunk. She was right the whole time but all those years had no support system because no one believed her.

the episodes where a child killed his little brother was really sad and scary. Everyone thought he accidentally killed him then near the end, they learned that he put airplane toy parts into his brother's mouth. At the end, the team theorized that he had sociopath tendency.

The season 4 ep with Jackson Rathbone was so sad to me- it sort of connected to Henkel, because Reid drew comparisons- & he was deeply saddened by the fact that he couldn't 'save' Adam.
Jackson was so masterful as both Adam & Amanda

ill rewatch any episode before i rewatch Haileys death
edit: also any episode involving children always makes me cry, just rewatched into the woods and seeing the lil boy making his sister promise to run after being molested it too much.

Hope was sad but ended so ridiculously because Monica would have gone to prison for killing him in cold blood in front of the entire BAU and police. They should have used the ending to show how the justice system punishes victims too

My heart broke for the little boy in 7 seconds, he lost both parents in one day and almost lost his cousin. I hope he had family who could take him in and give him a safe and loving home especially since hes innocent in all of this

Seven Seconds was one of my favorites. From Prentiss Interrogation, the whole mystery, and the reveal left me absolutely flabbergasted. Its definitely up there with one of my favorites of the series.

No the one that give me the chills and is sad is one of the episodes in the earlier season where a boy got kidnapped at camp with his little sister by a child predator. I cried watching it
reply

Wasn't Ian Doyle French! That never made any sense to me. He should have been British with an Irish last name and a Scottish first name. They should have made him him Norn Iron.
reply

I love love criminal minds so much, my top 7 saddest criminal minds
episodes are Ashes and Dust, Lauren, Hope, Seven seconds, Zugzwang, Profiler, Profiled and Revelations.

the episode where the comic book artist snaps after watching his GF get Graped and starts killing gangsters stays rent free. coz he was sooo justified imo. and he still dies
reply

Mosley Lane broke my heart. The kid thought he was telling the parents their son died a hero but he accidentally told them they were so close to getting him back alive.
reply

The saddest part to me in the revelations episode is what Tobias said right before he died staring at Reid. You know he wasnt a bad guy he was as just super sick
reply

Why did I watch this knowing exactly that Hailey's death was ghe worst and saddest thing which traumatised me and made me stop watching the show for a whole year
reply

This should be titled the episodes I skip on the rewatch. I start at season 3. And I never watch the one where Reid's girl dies and hotch's wife. nope nope
reply

I think the episode Derek was pretty sad I mean the whole episode is Derek talking to his dead father by disosiating just like her did when he was a teen
reply

Luke and 100 broke me inside and out, they delivered hard in that episode but I lost sleep over it cause it was so powerful it punches you right in the heart
reply

I think one of the most saddest episodes that legitimately made me sob so hard was I think in season 4 there was a guy with ocd and died in the end.
reply

Revelations is the episode that will always stick with me. Seeing Spencer, my favorite character, being tortured was beyond heartbreaking for me
reply

Bro id remember the episode but istg the episode where the three friends are kidnapped and have to kill the other to escape that was tk sad
reply

Riding The Lightning made me CRYYY when Sarah Jean said she wants Gideon's face to be the last one she sees. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned.
reply

Him talking to his wife as they both knew she was going to die was so heartbreaking. Seeing Hotch cry, a man who never cried, .
