I kinda wish they would've left Mia's naturally curly hair and just fixed it so it wouldn't be completely frizzy. I think natural, curly hair is beautiful when people know how to take care of and style it. And it would've shown teen girls that you don't need to straighten curly hair to look pretty which is what a lot of young girls think, doing longterm damage to their hair.

Great call for this list! Almost anyone can relate to the awkward, socially awkward teen, perhaps because they WERE one at some point! Many of the actors featured (Anne Hathaway, Ally Sheedy, Crispin Glover, Drew Barrymore and Hailee Steinfeld) may seem glamorous or sophisticated off screen, but they convincingly played nerdy, shy or withdrawn characters to a tee!

you miss Nadine Franklin's domestic situation and her sort-of-triangle with her brother and her best friend.
Alison Reynolds wasn't 'helped' by the makeover: she was clearly beautiful under the goth cover, and shouldn't have been 'redeemed' by polishing up for a narcissist who probably thought he was prettier than her anyway.
