The Smurfs movie was great!
I know TMNT wasn't fantastic or much like the originals, but it's enough so to tell it wasn't supposed to be. It's a more adult version of the characters. First of all, it was rated PG-13. Solid indication that the target audience is not children. Shredder makes a real attempt to kill Splinter and later the turtles. And April is played by Megan Fox who is known for being one of Hollywood's hottest.
Alvin and the Chipmunks was great. It's Number 3 on this list despite getting three sequels. And what are you saying it doesn't offer up much else. HOW ABOUT MUSIC? Christmas Don't Be Late became a classic. And their covers of Witch Doctor and other songs in the sequels are awesome.
Also, why tf was the first live-action Scooby-Doo movie in the intro. That movie was awesome

I used to like the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie but not anymore, here's why.
1. Alvin isn't interesting or cool like in the cartoons.
2. Alvin's backstory is fabricated and false.
3. Dave is basically an asshole.
4. Constant potty humor.
5. Dumb moments that include the Chipmunks being frightened to sing but somehow managed to not be nervous on stage.
6. Dave's yell sucks.
7. Mrs. Miller is barely in the movie.
8. Terrible acting and writing overall.

The list didnt bother me much, but 7 of the movies on it shouldve been ranked lower or better yet cut from the list. The Last Airbender shouldve been #4, Transformers: Age Of Extinction-#10, Alvin & The Chipmunks-#5, The Smurfs-#8, & Garfield: The Movie-#9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Jem & The Holograms also shouldve been ranked #6 & #7, but along with the movies I mentioned, I wish they were either cut from the list or given a dishonorable mention.

I actually love some of these movies including Garfield, Transformers movies, Alvin and the Chipmunks and the movies first sequel, Super Mario Brothers, and even Masters of the Universe. The others are just plain bad I didnt even see The Last Airbender but I didnt like the cartoon so I guess I wasnt missing much.

The only live-action movies based on a cartoon that are on this list are Mr. Magoo (a series of animated short films that were released to theaters worldwide) and two others are the only ones on this that are also based on animated TV shows which are called The Last Airbender and Jem and the Holograms.

Truth be told, Im one of those people who grew up in the 2000s and have a lot of nostalgia for cartoon live-action remakes! Like the Garfield movies, Yogi Bear, Alvin & The Chipmunks, Scooby-Doo, and The Smurfs movies. But I can definitely see the flaws in them, now.

Alvin and the chipmunks are annoying singing chipmunks. The 4th movie also has a grounding scene. I wish Alvin and the chipmunks 1 2 3 & 4 were never released on theaters & DVD, and I wish Dave would just get rid of the annoying singing chipmunks!

You are so wrong! I love The Smurfs movie. It's one of my favorites because it was comady, adventure, and they showed the tough side of Smurfette and not just her girly side. I love this movie and will be rewatching it over and over again.

A ton of the live action remakes based on cartoons fall into the category of just forgettable and manipulative. If you don't like familiarity and ads shoved in your face for a hour or so, you are in for a really rough movie.
