I think having Mirabel run away to the city would have been more impactful. My guess on the server injury is most likely was a dislocated hip( which is very dangerous and possibly life ending depending on which side) another possibility is a cracked vertebrae.
I think Mirabel would run a lot farther if she thought her actions almost cost them her mother.
I think one of the lines would have been this:
Mirabel: I cant go back. You were right. I always hurt the family. You should go back without me.
Alma: I said the same thing when I left this place. This is where fate happened. The place where I met your abuelo and the place we decided to run too. But Im here now.
Dos Oruguitas plays: Bruno comes in as the sun rises into the sky at the end of the song.
Bruno: Julieta isnt listening because she wants her daughter. Shes doesnt realize shes badly injured.
Mirabel: lets go. Outside of town is horse.

I really wished that they would've make the magic more fleshed out. I mean, at first I thougth that they purposelly let the source of the magic to be a mystery and open to the viewers's interpretation. But in the Our Casita bonus in Dinsey Plus, they explicitly said that the miracle was an answer to Abuela's prayer. I think that they should've let it more clear in the movie. Like, in that scene when Abuela screams and falls on her knees after watching Pedro die, they should've showed her holding a cross in her necklace while whispering some desesperate prayer, and then her tears falling in the candle and igniting it with the golden light of the miracle. But they didn't do that. If they did, I think it would be more clear to the audiences that the Miracle was an answer to Abuela's need to protect their children, and that's why it weakened when she began to lost sight of what makes her family truly happy.

I'm really sad they didn't use the original ending, where Abuela makes the journey herself to find Mirabel, going back to the place she used to live after all those years. Not only did it have more of an emotional impact, especially with Abuela's apology being more heartfelt after the moments in silence the audience had, it also helped bring back Abuela's husband in a more subtle, yet effective way with that mural, truly bringing things full circle.
The pacing was much better in that take, and honestly, as much as I love how fast paced Lin-Manuel Miranda's musicals are, I think the final ending we got was weaker because of said fast pacing. Sometime, you gotta have a breather for the audience and let them sit and sink in the moment, like with the train scene in _Spirited Away_

I wish they could recreate Encanto but with these deleted scenes like
- I wished they explored more on the rooms and gave the family members a song to represent there hidden pain
- the 7min long 'All of you' would have made a better way to sequence the house to rebuild and could have each member to sing and interact more especially the part where the triplets get to catch up
- and I would have love to see the chores scene in animation especially it would be better way to show the husband's of pepa and julieta and also the scene where Alma went back to her old hometown to find mirabel and see the mural of pedro

Isabela's alternative love interest could have worked. A sweet, awkward nerdy guy who loves Isabela, and not the image of perfection that everyone else loves. Who doesn't see her as the picture perfect rose she pretends to be, but as the beautiful wild flower she really was. It didn't have to change anything, Bubo could have loved her from a far. The same way Dolores loved Mariano. They didn't have to become a couple at the end of the film, they could have just been friends. Which would allow for chemistry to develope, and later on they would become a couple. Like maybe in a sequel or a series.
Thoughts?

I would love to see the relationship between Mirabel and Camilo more, because in the movie they never actually had a conversation. But judging by that one scene where Camilo's head shapeshifted into a baby's head while looking for Mirabel, I would say that their cousin love is pretty strong, since Camilo only malfunctions his shapeshifting abilities when he's stressed out. I would love to see them hang out with their uncle Bruno as well, they would make a perfect trio.

All of You definitely needed to be longer. I can't be too mad because typical-Disney-happy-ending gotta get wrapped up real fast but. yeah they all sorted everything out WAY too fast. And like it definitely took them several months to rebuilt Casita so a seven minute version of the song could've reflected that really well.

Honestly if they be in Bobo back in sequel or show I would be ok with that I like that Isabel discover her self worth and learn new powers and that she doesn't need to marry someone she doesn't love for the family but that doesn't mean she has to stay single she could find someone to love on her own terms

There was a version where the story played out over a century. It reminds me One Hundred Years of Solitude. The movie seems to be inspired in this colombian novel. Yeah, maybe the novel is a sad story for adults, but did anyone read Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen or The Little Mermaid?

Wow! I never new there were gift swaps. At first, I thought Pepe was the food healer, Dolores had Lulisas strength, Julieta had the ability to make flowers and l thought Isabella didnt have a gift. That was my thought before the trailer came out. Thanks for all of the details!

The Ghibli energy from some of these early drafts is so interesting. Like the boards of Abuela in numbers 10 and 9 look a lot like scenes in Howl's Moving Castle and Scott Watanabe's concepts resemble both the Moving Castle and the bathhouse of Spirited Away.

I really wanted to like this movie, but honestly, it felt way too rushed in general. I couldnt even follow the opening number. And there just werent enough stakes throughout the film so the emotional payoffs just didnt hit the way they shouldve

So Encanto takes place in at least the 20th Century cause theyre cars in one cut scene. Then why were the soldiers at the beginning of the film chasing Abuela were on horseback? They couldnt afford tanks or helicopters?

By this point we pretty much have close to 10 videos about Encanto from Miss Mojo alone. Now if only we could have more videos about Luca. So far all I seen is just the one video dedicated to Easter eggs in Luca

I'm glad that they deleted a part about Isabela had her secret boyfriend in her room because that idea is weird and quite creepy. About other parts and details are kinda cool, oh 14: 43 still alive is so funny

Imagine if we did get the official 7 minute version of _All of You_? That would've been great to have the entire family come and sing together - maybe Bruno would've had more lines as well

It was a smart choice to leave out a love interest for Isabela but come on ditching the potato people?
Also I would have liked to have seen Mirabel hang with the non-magical dads; ]

OMG I really wish they kept the non-magical Madrigals scene! And I'm actually mad about the deleted credits scene. WHY did they think it was a GOOD IDEA to delete the capybara!

Personally I think they should've included going back to Abuelas hometown to see the mural. Also that Mirabel received the gift to see people's emotions.

they should release a less developed version of version of all the deleted scenes and full songs, like in the black and white sketch

I LOVED the lyrics I break what I'm handed, I'm taken for granted because it gives an even deeper meaning to the song.

It's a shame that they axed the mural scene, but I can understand if they deleted it due to time constraints.
