As a mans point of view i find it confusing that many women find being called the bane of my existence to be hot. (Not picking a fight, just honestly asking why) In other words, hes saying your the biggest annoyance in his life. It sounds so bad. And calling you an object is bad to, women are people not items. He doesnt own you like a trophy. Your love should not be a prize. While these are sweet sounding i say just say whats in your heart. Some feelings can not be explained by words but rather a kiss. I believe the best line should not be a line but a direct statement that only applies to her. Any guy can say to any girl your so beautiful. Beautiful girls are everywhere but true love is rare. I believe a better thing to say is your sweet voice shines into my heart like no other. Tell her about her hairstyle choices. Tell her you love her poems as they are from her heart. Things that are unique to her.

While I can understand why people disagree with the list(Kate and Anthony have some really steamy and romantic moments after all, I'm a hopeless romantic and I'm NOT picky about romantic lines at all, and Bridgerton is no exception. I certainly agree with the top 3 though. You're the bane of my existence, To meet a beautiful woman is one thing and especially Every Scar, Every Flaw, Every Imperfection(Mostly because Daphne talks about unconditional love and loving someone despite their flaws, that is music to my ears. )are by far the sweetest, and romantic lines ever! Personally, I think there needs to be a top 20 romantic Bridgerton lines and Queen Charlotte, A Bridgerton Story should be included as well.

Tell me you feel nothing is my favourite of season 2 while To meet a beautiful woman is one thing. is the best in season 1. Although I suppose I can totally get onboard with Every scar. Every flaw. Every imperfection. as number one on the list. I guess the gentlemen's love confessions get to me more than the ladies' does in general. Maybe because I have done my fair share of love declarations and there has never been a single guy who has made one for me. Since it's the spinster life for me, at least I can dream of receiving the grand notions of love by listening to them on Bridgerton.

My favorite moment is Anthony's proposal to Kate. Actually, I think his proposal is what we all wanted to hear in Mr. Darcy's second proposal to Elizabeth Bennet. Pride and Prejudice is more authentic and period-accurate. Austin's novels are social commentaries. Few writers of English prose are better than Austin--maybe P. G. Wodehouse. Bridgerton is romantic fiction. Paraphrasing a comment from Good Reads, the world of romance novels is like an alternate universe something like Middle Earth the Lord of the Rings.

i think everyone agrees that Kate and Anthony lines are more heart wrenching. Jonathans acting and line delivery is way more powerful than that of the first pair. I was at the edge of my seat on his you are the bane of my existence. And Anthony's I love you speech, All I found able to breathe for is you, tell me you do not care for me and I'll walk away. etc. damn Kate really launched his poet era!
ps i cant take the rain scene of daphne & simon seriously and i will not elaborate why lol

I didn't like the first season, but it's only after the second season that I realized why. There was no chemistry between the first couple. Both actors are great, but together they are not convincing. I did not believe that Simon was in love with Daphne, nor that they burned for each other. So any line delivered by them was but just a beautiful poetic line without any romance. This whole list should have been just Anthony and Kate lines, with Bane of my existence being number 1.

They have two years to write Anthony and Kate were not virgin but this is written for women not men Siena was a true woman but Anthony is not man enough fight society for Siena and in the book he was not around when his father died and he was not home when hyacinth was born daphne and eloise and Francesca were home with her mother I agree daphne line to Simon was the best line it was true from the heart not crap from Anthony mouth

I love the juxtaposition of the poetry scene for Edwina where Anthony couldnt think of romantic things to say. But with Kate he was always spitting straight romantic fire. It was funny to witness. Loving Kate made him a poet.
