Honorable Mentions:
Genocide - Kings Tide
-If only the unknowing populous knew what Belos was REALLY planning. The Day of Unity is actually a genocide plan with the intent of eradicating all magic and magic life in the Demon Realm. Luckily, King manages to convince The Collector to stop the draining spell, but that only set up an even greater conflict for the next season.
Toxic Parenting - Various
-We already touched on Amity's relationship with her Mother. But that's not Odalia's only sin. How bad can she be? Well.
She seperated Amity from lesser witches and surrounds her with only similarly like-minded people like Boscha and children of Blight Industries' business partners so that their mean habits would rub off on her. Additionally, Odalia has Amity wear a telepathy necklace to keep her in line. Given years of Odalia's disposition, even Amity seems to believe this mindset and grows into a talented (albiet arrogant and self-centered) witch. In a way, Odalia is basically molding Amity into the splitting image of herself by raising her the same way she'd train a dog wither Amity liked it or not. Oh, and she also has an iron hold on her husband, Alador, and through Blight Industries, she supplies Emporer Belos with an army of Abomatons with the intent of inflating her own social status. She also intentionally withholds information and important details from her Family to make sure things go according to plan. The real kicker, this manipulation has been going on for years, and all for selfish gain. By Clouds On The Horizon, Amity and Alador decide that enough is FINALLY enough. Amity effectively disowns her mother and Alador destroys Blight Industries.
Morality and The Hero Complex - Various
-Moraliry is a fascinating subject. What is moral and just changes with the times. What was once considered just another necessity in day to day life back in the day may be considered outlawed in today's society. It's also sometimes said that every villain is the hero of their own story. And nowhere does something like this fit better than with Philip Wittebane AKA Emporer Belos.
It's worth noting that Philip was born around the 1600s, back when Witch Hunting was still a thing. When he found that his brother, Caleb, had befriended a witch, he feels betrayed and blames witches for swaying his brother to their side. As such, he spends over 400 years biding his time so that he can exterminate all witches and return to the human realm a hero, nay, a Witch Hunter General. But to those unfamiliar with the Boiling Isles, Witch Hunting/Trials were something that wouldn't fly not just for modern-day humans, but to the denizens of the Isles. It's almost sad really, back in the 17th century, what he did would have been the stuff of legend, in the 21st century however, he's an ethnic group's worst nightmare! And just as the Titan says, Belos' actions stems from some diluted and confused need to be a hero.

I really do like Amity because her older twin siblings Ed and Em sometimes reminded me of my sister and my brother-in-law and I am alone. Like Amity because she is a cat person or whatever just like me I love cats just like Ghost and I used to have a cat that I called Jenny a long time ago until she died in the year 2018 I need there after the teenage robot cartoon and I've always loved the name Jenny ever since I was so little and sometimes I wish I could adopt another kitty even if it could give birth to kittens and if this cat will give birth to twin kittens and if they're both girls I would perhaps named them Maria and Sophia or Cleo and Chloe or perhaps Dorothy and Alice like in The wizard of Oz and Alice in wonderland pretty similar if you ask me anyway I would give anything to have another cat perhaps if this cat is a girl and if she were pregnant with kittens I want to learn how to help my new kitty give birth to her baby kittens and I want to give them such beautiful names something that makes me feel like I am the second mother of these little sweethearts but even if I had a short-haired black cat I would perhaps named him or her sketch because I am an artist and even if I wanted to be a witch I should be more of a Ravenclaw which or I should wear something dark blue like indigo perhaps or even Sapphire or cerulean but if I were which I would perhaps have healing powers or talk to animals predict the future or I don't know control water or maybe turn invisible that would be wonderful because sometimes I wish I could sneak out at night to see the moon especially if I'm not allowed to go out late at night but mostly at Halloween I sometimes wish I could have a calming circle with other girls who were into witches and if I ever go to someplace like that I'll have to wear something dark blue because blue is my favorite color but sometimes like I really want to be for Halloween it's mostly Alice from Alice in wonderland but one Halloween in the year 2021 I was a Ravenclaw which kind of like Luna Lovegood only I wasn't blond but I wouldn't mind having blond hair but I am okay being a brunette though sometimes I wish I had black hair instead of brown but it doesn't matter anyway but within I think I really am a witch just by being who I am kind of like being a princess but different which is why I was thinking about making a cartoon about a girl who was actually a princess witch but try not to take that idea away from me okay? Also I really would much appreciated if I had a cat again who could be my very best friend! Just like Amity and Ghost!

I cannot believe how much I can relate with Luz in this show!
Thing here is I'm a huge nerd just like her.
I'm Sonic the Hedgehog's number one fan and I have a huge heart for almost anything about the made up world.
I even love Pokemon, Mario, Disney, Nintendo, and while I do love none cartoon stuff a lot too my heart has always been for the fantasy world.
Unlike Luz I've made a bunch of friends in my life but there was always a part of me that felt like a complete outcast on the inside once I started becoming a preteen and an early teenager.
It's because it seemed like everyone around me was all about real life stuff or girls just cared about boys, fashion, makeup, or girlie girl things.
I had huge fears that I was extremely kiddish for the things that I loved.
It wasn't till high school and near the end of 8th grade that I began accepting myself for who I am. :)
Even an actual junior named Britney actually thought that I was cool for loving Sonic and Cheetah Girls! :)
Then along the way I got a boyfriend named Ryan who is a casual fan of Sonic but he said that one of the reasons why he fell in love with me was because of my happiness and carefree attitude over Sonic. :)
So yeah it's like how Luz found people who were like her and her Mom wound up accepting who she really is!
I can strongly relate! :)
Oh and, fun fact, I met the voice actress behind Luz at a Momocon convention, Sarah, she was extremely nice! :)

The scene and episode that hit me the most was the episode about the anniversary of Luz's father's passing, as it came out a few months after my mother went on her next journey. It hit so incredibly harder than any episode of a show had for me, because I knew exactly what thst feeling was, and while Luz had a few years in and I still letting it sink in, it never gets easier, people say it will but no, or it becomes more normal, no because it's never gonna be normal that they aren't there, when they have been for years. I just say you keep pushing on as they would want you to, and they are always still there, watching and protecting. But yeah, I bawled my damn eyes out!

To go with #3, mental illness and disorders are other issues addressed in the show through Eda's curse. She has no control over it, has to take elixirs to keep it at bay, and her mom fully dedicated herself to find a cure. In Knockin on Hooty's Door Eda comes to terms with her curse. Another issue the show addressed is suicide in Eda's Requiem where Eda is about to end her life because she feels Luz and King no longer need her. But those feelings changed when King became a Clawthorne.

these are good picks, but one I think was missed was the experimental torture and abuse Vee went through, it was bad enough that even tho she could stand up to belos, she still couldnt face the boiling isles. What I think is just beautiful about the found family of them all is not a single one of them tried to convince her otherwise, they know that even tho Vee could help a lot, they wont try to expose her to her fears.

This kind of show shouldn't have been robbed of a full 3rd season. It tackles so many issues we're dealing with in our own everyday lives. I want the owl house to return and give more information about each character and what they been up to after the king's dad passed on. Please bring the owl house back. There's still alot i want to uncover.

I can relate so much to willow its actually sad: (
I wont talk about this because well I dont think I could. Im pretty happy that the owl house managed to pull of adding real world issues and still keep the show on the main story. I do wish that Disney figures out that they pissed every one off and one last thing

Such an amazing show! My niece got me into it and we love watching it together. She said it helped her since she came out as LGBT. I love how inclusive it is and represents Queer culture in a very positive way. It's so great how Luz's mom supports her! I definitely want more seasons, they shouldn't have canceled it!

I wanted to say you left out Bullying, but when you mentioned how Amity was bullied by her mother, how Belos treated Hunter and especially how Willow was picked on, I'd say you pretty much covered that issue without making it the Top Eleven.

Favourite show of all time, I've never connected with a story as much as I have with the Owl House. It has incredible queer and neurodivergent representation, and it's also probably the most mental health conscious show I've ever seen.

I am still crying that the show ended so shortly.
the darkest thing to me was seeing hunter's panic attack after he learned the truth. And ended up running away to hide at Hexside, the one place he felt safe and accepted

I love this show so much. I was shocked at how it balanced fantasy with heavy moments and comedy. I cried so many times because I love these characters so much. This is objectively one of the best shows ever made.

They didn't mention Luz having to deal with judgement of peers and adults. Her mom understood, but people around her, including Luz's principal made her feel like she was failing Luz by not trying to change her.

Something that really breaks me about Belos abuse with Hunter is that While Hunter flinches when Belos nearly strikes him, hes stands still, willing to take a beating because hes most likely being conditioned to

Everyone keep on telling what to do. That I'm a nobody. But I decided to stop. I can do both. I could fight with you and against you. It depends of what is happening and I beat everyone down so easy in the end

Owl house faced more struggles like sibling rivalries from Lilith and Eda from season 1, LGBTQ struggles, fear if rejection, and having to find out what you want to do with your life early on in life.
