I found the show quite misandrist. They made the character of Leonard too much of a wimp. Even his mother treated him horribly and got away with it. Howard and Raj was also quite afflicted. Penny was shown initially as an airhead but they rectified that by making her as a rich sales person. She dumped Leonard always telling him he is not worth anyone better even after Priya. It was her decision not to want children which they reversed in the last episode. She fully played on the mens insecurities. She was most unromantic and had no shame being a freeloader yet made fun of them. Leonard carried the ring for two years - she could not have been bothered. Leonard never won an argument in the show. Not to say she did not support them but she was quite dominating.
Her attack on Howard was poor. Howard was good a retorts too. How would Penny feel if Howard told her she is a total failure with her only asset being her body

One issue that is so often missed by commentators, is how accurate the traits that Sheldon displays are. It may be because I see so much of myself in the character, but I do wonder how or why others can't see that Sheldon displays ASD traits in everything he says and does. He comes across as an Aspie to me. a person with Asperger's Syndrome. I know it is not 'fashionable' to call it by that name nowadays; but that is what I was diagnosed with. and maybe I'm being rigid, but then that's another trait!

The kick to the nuts was awesome, but my favorite Penny savage moment is when she stands up to Raj's parents. I don't remember the season or episode, but she goes out with him and when they come home, his parents call and Raj starts talking about her like she was a lesser woman. When he goes to the bathroom to throw up, she snaps at his parents and leaves them speechless.

When your friends act like jerks, there might be one attempt at trying reason. But when that doesn't work all bets are off and the claws come out. I don't have to be nice just because I'm a woman. And when strangers go there, I still try the one attempt at nice. And the same claws come out but with complete disregard for any future reconciliation. I do miss this show.

I really enjoyed this show! I'm so glad it didn't 'dumb down' the science. I hope something in a similar vein shows up soon. Prefer shows with intelligence over the 'reality junk' that currently permeates the airwaves.

I never really watched this show, but these clips are priceless! Penny looks so harmless and sweet but she has no problem standing up for herself or her friends when necessary. We could all learn lessons from her.
