I saw Marshmallows Song Happier and prepared my tears. I have two dogs at home and one of them is growing so fast. I fear the day hes gone you know. Itll be years, but its why I want time to slow down.
And I thought if this music video is at the bottom and Concrete Angel is an honorable mention, then whats number one? I saw David Bowies name first and immediately knew. My first instinct was to lock my phones screen. It never fails to make me cry, but now it hits even harder knowing my dad is battling cancer. I avoid listening to it and seeing the video.

I've got nothing against sad songs but sometimes things can get a little bit creepy. I read this comment about Pink Floyds Dark Side Of The Moon, that got well over 1k thumbs up-
Sometimes, when life gets me down, i listen to Pink Floyd. It doesnt cheer me up. I listen to it because it helps remind me that despair is the normal human condition. So the misery i feel is totally normal. And I dont feel so bad about it.
That is just messed up. I sometimes wonder if there are some serial killers in the making when listening to Pink Floyd.

A certain music video I would put on there is These are the Days of Our Lives by Queen which was the final music video to feature frontman Freddie Mercury as it was shot six months before he succumbed to complications from AIDS on the 24th November 1991, The music video was shot entirely in black and white to hide the effects of Mercurys AIDS Diagnosis and the music ends with a closeup on Mercury whispering I still love you as a tearjerking farewell to his fans.

Five Finger Death Punch couldve had a couple make this list: When The Seasons Change about police officers being shot in the line of duty, and dedicated to one of the officers killed in the Las Vegas shooting, Wrong Side Of Heaven that focuses on veteran mental health issues, veteran homelessness, and veteran suicide through the story of a fire team that was in a bad firefight.

Castle of Glass by Linkin Park. While juxtaposed with cut scenes from a video game, the point of the video is showcasing a family who find out about the loss of a loved one. It's implied that the boy featured throughout most of the video follows in his father's footsteps into the military, only to have to deliver that same gut-wrenching news with another family.

What Hurts the Most by Rascal Flatts - actually a mini-movie, but SO devastating
Stay by Sugarland - Simple, no frills. but powerful
Tell Me I Was Dreaming by Travis Tritt - The 3rd part of a trilogy of videos, each has its moments, but this one.
I Miss My Friend by Darryl Worley - This one hit my Army Officer brother when he saw it!

I was in such shock over Bowie. I still cannot listen through the album or watch the video. Knowing he knew his time was near while making both just. Idk I cannot put myself in the mindset of making my last piece of work of my long spanning career.

Should have made this a top 15 and made the honorable mentions part of the list. I think those videos were way sad. Also, if it had a music video, Pat Benatar's Hell is for Children would definitely make my list.

This list felt less of a well drafted document and more of an essay from a nine-year-old going in great details of what they like and skimming over stuff they have to list stuff as they leave out details

Newish 1 but Bad Life by Sigrid & Bring Me The Horizon because it came out the week I was having an extremely bad time with my depression & it literally was everything I was feeling & still am feeling.

Five Finger Death Punch - Wrong Side of Heaven Righteous Side of Hell. Video and song is all about vets returning from war and has some heartbreaking statistics that pop up during the video
