My grandparents & Aunt gifted me a lot of Barbies as a kid. At one point I think I even had close to 20 plus dolls. I even have a memory of me making a card for my Grandpa for a Barbie pool for my dolls. He took me that day to go and get it. A few years later when I was in school one day my step father gave all my Barbies away without my permission. Including that pool. I was at my grandparents house a couple of years ago and found one of my old Barbies. She came home with me and lives in my office. Im happy that I was able to keep a part of my childhood with her. Barbie was definitely my favorite toy growing up. Im so glad shes getting the recognition she deserves.

I believe the first Mattel Barbie Black doll was named Christie first (1968. I remember, that was my first doll: Kissing Christie and I cried happy tears when my Mom got me a Black doll instead for Christmas because she looked like me, I miss her, lol!

I'm sorry, but how was Producer Barbie not on the main list! That outfit and her red hair were FIRE! I'd love to have an outfit like that! Totally hair Barbie also had a fabulous outfit and that hair gel and hair accessories were fantastic, lol!
