These are all so good! But there's one more you should have added to this list just because it was so beautiful and so perfectly performed! Derek Hough's and Kellie Pickler's freestyle dance was the most beautiful, most moving, most emotional, and perfect dance I've ever seen! That dance told a love story that had me in tears! I have watched it at least 15 times and will watch it many more times because it's THAT good!

Are you even aware of how female centric almost all of your commentary is. The men are mentioned collectively with their partners and only the women are singled out in praise of their individual dancing. Not a master class on critiquing male dancers. It's as if the skill depended solely on the women. And we wonder why boys are afraid or embarrassed to go into dance. Some things never seem to change.

#2 should have been #1. Lyrical is so hard and Shawn Johnson is a gymnast. Nothing crazy fancy or difficult about an Olympic gymnast doing simple flips. They definitely played to Meryl Daviss strengths as well seeing as shes an ice dancer but that dance was so much more technical and challenging especially when tying in emotion to it as well.

Wow! Siwa & Johnson's routine was spectacular.
In dance, the steps of each partner are very defined.
For one partner to take on the steps of the other partner without lapsing back into the steps they usually dance is a tremendous fete, & takes a lot of concentration.

Kellie Pickler & Derek's Freestyle was the best dance ever to me. It had the physical athletics, challenging routine & pure emotion of anything I have ever seen by 2 people who were not involved with each other & one who had never had any kind of training for dance/acting.

As a 20 year old British person I've never been able to watch Dancing with the Stars (here we have Strictly Come Dancing, however if I eventually live in America I'll watch it because it looks great fun and I've always loved the United States

My only complaint is i do not by they pick partners randomly it always seems like the most popular pros always end up with someone good - I dont think Derrick has ever been paired with anyone that was bad or lacked potential or was older

There are so many great dances from DWTS over the years. Somebody should do show having all of them in it. Yes It will be hard to choose which dances to use. On second thought maybe there should be more than one show to cover them all.

Not in the slightest surprised to see Shawn's freestyle at the top of the list. but i AM surprised as to which freestyle it was! her supersized freestyle is still one of the craziest coolest dances i remember from dwts

I'm sorry but Maks & Meryl's Latch performance should have been the number one routine, not Mark Ballas & Shawn Johnson. Nothing against Mark and Shawn but the entire routine that Maks and Meryl did was outstanding.

Ummmm there was a Bollywood routine that Derek did in one season that was ridiculously hard and they pulled it off. In fact so many of Dereks routines were hard and amazingIm surprised he wasnt on this list more.

I think the dance with Derek Hough and Kelli Pickler is the best/hardest dance in DWTS history. The one where she does a backward lift where her legs are around his neck. I cant think of the song-sorry.

Peta and donald drivers freestyle with cowboy troy was definitely one of my fav. They put blood sweat and tears (literally all 3) into that routine. And they wound up winning that season.

Although it was slower, I think Riker Lynch and Allison Holker's contemporary was beautiful and acrobatic, and their freestyle took fast, slow and acrobatic to another level.

How can you have a hardest list without ANY Derek Hough dances. His contemporary with Kelly Pickler was way more difficult than swinging from a chandelier.
