Hayley Mills was a great child and teen actress who later gave us joy as an adult. Pollyanna, The Parent Trap, The Moon Spinners, The Chalk Garden, The Trouble With Angels and many others. Many baby boomers have terrific memories of her performances. Her father, Sir John Mills, was a fine actor who worked with her in movies sometimes. Juliet Mills, her sister, was a toddler and child actress, in movies including The Rare Breed starring James Stewart and Maureen O'Hara, and played a marvelous witch in the quirky soap opera Passions as an adult. They would make a fine pair to feature along with their father.

Dean Stockwell, from a young boy in Anchors Aweigh with Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Kathryn Grayson to movies and TV series in which he played VILLAIN roles in most of them.
Jackie Cooper, from the son of the Champ 1931 as a kid to the Boss of Clark Kent Superman 1979 as adult.

You forgot Ron Howard, who started his career at 2 years old, went on to star in movies like The Music Man and The Courtship of Eddie's Father. He got screen credit right after Andy Griffith in The Andy Griffith Show. There was American Griffiti before Happy Days. He has 88 credits as an actor, 47 credits as a director and 147 credits as a producer. And you left him out?

What about Kim Fields! She was a child actor in the 70's starring onBaby I'm Back and some work on Good Times. Those roles led to her being on The Facts of Life. Then, as an adult, she starred on Living Single and directed quite a few TV shows and even plays. She's currently working on a Netflix series called the The Upshaws. She's amazing and inspirational!

I think you need to swap out Sean Astin who never stopped working ( check out his IMDB) Rudy anyone? For Joaquin Phoenix who acted as Leaf as child in movies like Parenthood and Spacecamp then fell off the map after the tragic death of his brother only to come back and hit Hollywood like a wrecking ball. Yeah you should look in to that.

Shocked that Sean Astin's role in Rudy wasn't mentioned.
Also, another actor who could qualify for this list, who acted alongside Drew Barrymore in E. T, was Henry Thomas, who has had a successful career as an adult actor, even if he's not as well known as those who are on the list.

I disagree with Christian Bale being #1. His name was unknown until he played Batman, whereas others, like Jodi Foster, Neil Patrick Harris, and Drew Barrymore, have had recognizable names since they first hit the screen.
