For this list, well be looking at the best moments from the franchises films and its musical that went above and beyond and well ogre our wildest expectations. Shrek's opening scene, Shrek and Donkey saving Fiona from the Dragon's keep, and Puss' introduction should have been on the list. Also, no introduction of Death from Puss in Boots: the Last Wish? You've already included the film's purr-fect animation. I'm surprised the part with Charming rallying the fairytale villains is in the list. It's not even that much of a memorable scene

My top moment is during the last wish movie (puss in boots 2)
Is in the like halfway mark.
Puss in boots always says. puss in boots laughs in the face of death
But in the movie it gets thrown back at him when he meets death himself.
Puss in boots laughs in the face of death. right? I don't see you laughing.

Dreamworks: it's just a history of Ogre and a cat with boots don't go hard
Animators: i got it,
LET'S MAKE THIS GO HARD
Dreamworks: no! What i mean is.
Animatiors: More epic? With a great music?
And great fight!
LET'S USE ALL OF THEN

reply

Allow me to edit the number 1 spot (I need a Hero is #2)
Puss: You are no bounty hunter. You are.
Death: Death. And I don't mean it metaphorically or rhetorically or poetically or theoretically or any other fancy way. I'm Death. Straight. Up.

No one NO ONE is going to talk about Puss in boots having a panic attack? Or the final fight between Puss in boots and death? So many good scenes in that movie, but they only talk about it in general?
reply

If you arent singing I need a Hero with the fairy godmother with your whole chest, are you even a shrek fan? Also, that was a Nat twenty moment for everyone in it, Heroes and villains included.
reply

Can we agree that Shrek series is the only perfect movie's even perfect then the movie's of today.
It's perfect for kids and adults without feeling like it's not for them

reply

Some of these are undeserved. Like the food fight from Shrek 2. Also the Last Wish one should be way higher, and the Dance Off from Puss in Boots 1 should be there.
reply

My ranking of the Shrek films:
1. Shrek 2
2. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
3. Shrek
4. Shrek Forever After
5. Puss in Boots
6. Shrek the Third

reply

Wow. Death the Wolf doesn't even get ANY honorable mentions? I knew Holding out for a Hero would be #1, but I figured Death's I'm straight up scene would be #2.
reply

Do you agree with our picks?
NO!
What the hell are you doing not mentioning Puss in Boots' encounter with Lobo Muerte in the Cave of Lost Souls?

reply

The best Shrek Movie is Shrek 2. I saw the others but they fell bad no other Shrek Movie will beat Shrek 2. Shrek 2 is the best movie in the franchise
reply

The fact that nothing from Shrek Retold was included is an insult to the franchise. The new song Shrek Love goes way harder than it had any right to.
reply

I haven't watched any of the Shrek movies in years. I had no idea how much of the music subconsciously influenced my music taste. Shits crazy.
reply

I'm sorry but in Puss-in-boots the best version is the italian one: the bears talk in freaking NEAPOLITAN, I love it. I can't hear it in english
reply

im suprised many scenes in puss in boots two wasn't included
like puss's panic attack or deaths whole character? where is that?

reply

Every scene with Perrito in Puss in Boots 2 was better than any of these, especially the cringe-inducing Snow White Battle cry.
reply

I think we can all agree the fairy godmother singing holding out for a hero is the most iconic moment of dream works period.
reply

Y'all should've put more moments from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish on this list. That whole movie goes HARD.
reply

Shrek 2's I Need a Hero is the definitive version of the song for me, and I dare anyone to challenge me on that.
reply

I remember having Shrek2 on DVD and watching the whole Holding out for a hero skit over and over and over again
reply

How DARE you not put the dance battle scene from Puss in Boots or the Puss vs Death scene in The Last Wish!
reply

I mean. everyone knows what number 1 is going to be. That scene is literally a modern cinematic classic moment.
reply

dayum shrek did a roar so powerful people tried to get closer to him and still got pushed away that mans op
reply

Just Death in general from The Last Wish. So chilling, so relatable, so damn poignant, so strangely fun.
