I live in Europe. For me if we talk about phenomenal success
then Lady Gaga is number 1. the impact she had from 2008 to 2011-2012 hadn't happened since Britney Spears. She clearly had an immense impact on Pop. She redefined the rules and the others Beyonce, RihannA, Katy Peryy followed them.
If we talk about critical success and cultural impact it would surely be Beyonce even if it is very American. Beyonce hasn't had a hit for a very, very long time and her success is more American than global.
Katy Perry and Rihanna have had universal success but they haven't revolutionized anything without talking about the fact that they are not at the same level as Beyonce and Lady Gaga in terms of performance. But they have hits that are known all over the world. For Taylor SWIFT I do not know too much not being American. In the country where I live she had almost no hits. Pop is no longer exciting I hope a next star will emerge and rock just like lady gaga did in 2008_2009

She sings, plays instruments, produces, writes, acts, dances and runs her own beauty products brand and is successful in everything she does. Taylor only has #1 numbers on the billboard, all her albums are the same, they sound the same, she does not have great vocal ability, she is very basic, on stage she is dull and boring, she does not dance, attempts to win Oscars fail and movies fail at the box office. Beyonce is a great performer but she does not write her songs, she does not produce them, she does not play instruments, she has only been successful in music.

Beyonce is not #1 over the last decade my top 3 would be Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Ariana Grande. I will never put anyone over Bruno Mars he is the only artist who can do whatever he wants and be ok with it. I just remember he goes on live TV performs Uptown Funk in hot rolls and kills it, when he wins a Grammy goes up on stage and lights a cigarette, and when he was at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show and he performed Chunky in that pure Furr Coat. I mean those are just three things but he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants without people giving him heat about it. Its crazy no other artist can do anything like that.

I don't like some of Rihanna's newer styles, but nevertheless she is easily the best popstar of the 21st century. From 2005 to 2013 she was on absolute fire with hit after hit after hit. I think her music is quite enjoyable and relatable to all, Beyonce or Maria Carey can't compare in terms of songs. Just my opinion.
