Wait! Did you say that Seinfeld was the greatest comedy of all time? ARE YOU DRUNK! ?
Ya want a list, here ya list:
All in the Family
Mary Tyler Moore
Maude
Sanford and Son
Taxis
Goodtimes
Different Strokes
The Jeffersons
Rosanne
The Cosby Show (Tasted bad putting it here, but it was a great show, even if the star is a evil person)
Growing Pains
Seinfeld is vanity project of an unfunny comic, glorifying the worst in ppl.

I dont know if these would be considered underrated, but Arrested Development and Married With Children are two of my favorite comedies that no one talks about enough. I am so glad that Netflix revived Arrested Development! Another comedy, albeit a dark comedy, that I love is The big C. Laura Linney is terrific in the lead role as a woman with cancer and she even won a Golden Globe for her performance!

Mind telling me, how you would know what anyone thinks is funny or not? How would you know what shows ppl saw, or if they even forgot they where funny? This is the most hubris dripping vid you ppl have ever put together. Like you know what ppl find/found funny or forgot they were funny, or even knew they existed. Get over yourselves.

Why do people laugh at sitcoms like there never actually funny im 19 and i still don't find them funny and they made sitcoms for kids and they used little kids laughing it's already bad enough when adults teenagers and big kids laughing but little kids laughing i don't find cartoons funny ether
reply

The quickest way to KILL a sitcom (except I Love Lucy) is for the lead character to get pregnant have baby.
For an entire season every character becomes REACTIVE to an ACTIVE character, pre and after birth,
THAT DOESN'T SAY OR DO ANYTHING! (Murphy Brown, Mad About You! Babies are BORING.

Some excellent classics on this list. Two I really like the most are Soap and Night Court. Extremely funny, and underrated overall content. And I really like News Radio, especially when Phil Hartman was on the show. Honorable mention for me would be My Name is Earl.
reply

Somehow, I personally feel like According To Jim isnt often talked about nor is remembered very well. You gotta admit, all of the cast was hilarious, even Ruby, Gracie and Kyle (Taylor Atelian, Billi Bruno and Conner Rayburn. I watch reruns of it after work almost every day.

Soap was great! My favorite of all time. I loved Old Christine. It was too short-lived. WKRP deserves #1. I was going to mention it if it wasn't on the list. For me it's hard to choose between WKRP and Soap. And Old Christine would follow fairly close behind.
reply

When I read the title, I immediately thought of WKRP in Cincinnati. News Radio was also great. Certainly far and away the best thing Joe Rogan ever did. I think Barney Miller was much better than several on this list. Should have been near the top, in fact.
reply

I'm gonna respectfully disagree about Penny from BIG BANG
Look at how she does in the latter part of the show she gets to be a successful woman in pharmaceuticals in a man's world
If that's not a powerful woman in her prime i don't know what is

reply

They got WKRP right. ground breaking and so well written at the end of the 1970s. Shame the great music they played (still remember getting a buzz when they played Australian band The Sports) stops it from being repeated in syndication.
reply

Full House and Family Matters were key shows for me when I was growing up. I would really like to see a top 10 of movies that were before there time. Bombed at the box office but then became cult classics. Like The 5th Element
reply

Perfect Strangers should be on this list. Bronson Pinchot was hilarious as Balki, and Mark Linn-Baker had an incredible timing in his responses as Larry to the things that Balki said and did. I loved it.
reply

I did see the Thanksgiving episode at its original airing. Horror mixed with hilarity is a combination that makes one feel good while subconsciously telling one's self, You are a terrible human being!
reply

Can't argue with your selections, maybe tweak the placement a bit; however, WKRP in Cincinnati is indeed one of the coolest and funniest sitcoms ever. the Thanksgiving episode alone is classic. KDM
reply

Taxi ==> Sceneskis from a Marriage.
3rd Rock ==> Diner scene with the score from Oklahoma.
Night Court ==> Bull gets electrocuted
Drew Carey Show ==> WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU DREW!

reply

Three of the most memorable moments in WKRP in Cincinnati History: BOOGER! ; The episode about Festival Seating, based on a real event and As god as my witness, I thought Turkeys could fly
reply

My favorite sitcoms (at least the ones that have come to mind) were 30 Rock, Seinfeld, News Radio, The I. T. Crowd, Fawlty Towers, Soap, Taxi, Barney Miller, and The Office.
reply

Still Standing is one of my all-time favorite shows. I watched it a lot of reruns of it when I first moved away from Chicago and was feeling a little homesick.
reply

SPOILER WARNING FOR WKRP
They were throwing turkeys, live turkeys, out of their news helicopter to promote the station. As you can see, it did not go well.

reply

Seinfeld was awful. Yeah, there were a few episodes that were pretty funny, but I disliked the characters so much I couldn't watch the show on a regular basis.
reply

It sucks that the price of royalties for the music has kept this from being put on streaming. WKRP was a great show, especially the Thanksgiving episode.
reply

I was thinking about Still Standing right before it came up in the honorable mentions. That one should definitely be on the list. It was hilarious!
reply

Maybe these are forgotten hilarious shows, however WKRP has one of the funniest sitcom episodes of all time with the Turkey Drop episode.
reply

Lana Parilla got her start on Spin City. She went on to fame on Once Upon A Time. Succession's Alan Ruck was a regular on that show also.
reply

Perfect Strangers, Becker, 8 Simple Rules, there's some excellent British sitcoms too, like Blackadder, Fawlty towers, The IT Crowd.
reply

I never forgot any of these shows were hilarious; I was merely saddened when they stopped airing a lot of these in syndication.
reply

Mamas family deserves better than an honorable mention & soap is best sitcoms of all time & Wings should be on the list as well
reply

I miss Phil Hartman, I love Latka, and here's a few more to add to the list. ALF, Empty Nest, and Mad About You.
reply

Very very great fun list I like it a lot very very great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever
