I'd like to put forth a song from the theme parks, namely There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow from Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress. It's probably my favorite Disney song because it so embodies the optimistic forward-thinking spirit of Walt Disney himself, as has been said by Richard Sherman, who composed the song along with his brother Robert Sherman. Richard called the song Walt's theme song, because he was very positive about the future. He really felt that there was a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day. The Carousel of Progress also had a second theme song composed by the Sherman Brothers called The Best Time of Your Life from 1975 when the Carousel of Progress was moved to the Magic Kingdom until 1993. This was done at the request of the sponsor General Electric. The story goes that General Electric wanted a new theme song because they didn't want consumers to wait for a great, big, beautiful tomorrow to buy their products, but instead that 'now is the best time' to buy GE appliances. The lyrics do focus more on the present, but are still just as positive:
Now is the time, now is the best time
Now is the best time of your life
Life is a prize, live ev'ry minute
Open your eyes and watch how you win it
Yesterday's mem'ries may sparkle and gleam
Tomorrow is still but a dream
Right here and now you've got it made
The world's forward marching and you're in the parade
Now is the time, now is the best time
Be it a time of joy or strife
There's so much to cheer for
Be glad you're here
For it's the best time of your life
I like to think that There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow expresses three wishes for everyone: that each brand new day may bring you new hope, that you may follow your dreams with mind and heart, and when those ideas become a reality, it will be a dream come true for you and me!

The most comfort for me are: You got a friend in me (it remember our childhood, Circle of Life (it's beautiful and touching how is about the purpose in the life, Remember me (until you are in my arms, it means until we meet our loved ones, there is much comfort, A dream is a wish of your heart and See the light. Also are: We are one from TLK2 (It has a most beautiful message that it gives you in the heart: Even those who are gone are with us as we move on, we are one you and me like the earth and the sky), The Next Right Thing (it's very encouraging to take away to depression, Show Yourself (I love the line: I come for a reason and that is why I was born maybe, Waiting on a miracle (it's touching to encourage oneself to continue) and Almost There (I remember daddy told me that dreams don't come true, but you can make it happen, it's all depends of you)

Go the Distance from Herculeswas one song that gave me comfort growing up. It taught me to never give up on myself & to always work toward your goals. It may not be as comforting as some of the other songs on this list, but you cant deny that the song personified both the movie it was written for and the overall themes of classic Disney stories. Nostalgia and happy memories do give us comfort, but so does aspiring for something great, for they give us hope for a better tomorrow.

Part of Your World is not only one of my favorite Disney songs but its just generally one of my favorite songs. I do love Circle of Life and Beauty and the Beast but I also think We Are One from Lion King 2 would fit perfectly on this list. I See The Light and Once Upon A Dream are awesome songs and I love them both!

My ultimate Disney comfort song is Love from Robin Hood because that scene is just so cute and soft. It calms me down and is really peaceful. Plus the vibe of that scene is so calming. The dark blue colors, the soft music, the overall peaceful feeling of that sceneI love it so much.

Thanks to a Disney mega compilation, I've literally all these songs on 2 CDs.
.
Though, while I might cop some flack for this, I'm not a big fan of A Spoonful of Sugar and always skip it when listening to the CD it's on because it honestly gets boring for me

Needed this today, thank you for doing this list! Baby Mine should have been higher up on this list, not the last one! WHY IS REMEMBER ME 9! So happy to see Part of Your World in a high place! I agree to a point, but the 2nd place one, should be in first place!

These are really good songs, though a personal favorite of mine is Ariel's song from The Little Mermaid Ariel's Beginning. The one Ariel sang about the few memories she had of her mother and how Atlantica used to be when her mother had still been around.

My favorite Disney songs are Feed the Birds from Mary Poppins, Love Is a Song from Bambi, One Song from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Your Mother and Mine from Peter Pan. Maybe Baby Mine would grow on me if I listened to it more.

I believe that you shouldve replaced A Spoonful of Sugar with Stay Awake. Stay Awake is the lullaby song she sings to Jane and Michael and it has been a huge comfort for me. I agree but Stay Awake should have been a thought

For me, Seize the Day from Newsies is one of my favorite Disney comfort songs. The message of joining together to make a bright future for ourselves and to enjoy the time that we have together is so heartwarming.

Nothing beats a song that can be sung by your mother to you.
Yet if you can sing it to yourself than it wins.
1. Spoon full of sugar. 2. Circle of life. 3. I'll be here. - My most memorable.

Bella Notte from Lady & the Tramp is a favorite of mine. The vocals at the start of the movie really take me back in time when the movie first released on VHS. I enjoy that feeling of nostalgia.

2: 54 actually at Phil Collins autobiography book, he explains that Gleen Close was not able to perform the song, so they decided that she would start and then Phil Collins take over.

As a linguist, big respect to Phil Collins for singing the Tarzan soundtrack in 5 languages. Feel like this is also true of Brother Bear, but don't quote me.

Good list one that should've been mentioned was Your Mother & Mine from Peter Pan. It would have been perfect since it's almost Mother's Day!
