I would never ever EVER going to forgive the movie for butchering Ron's character. He has his shortcoming in the book but he was not an outright jerk that they made him in the movie. They stripped every best quality of Ron and gave it to hermione which always bugged the hell out of me.
The fact that in POA, he quite literally defended Hermione from Snape's snide remarks and even took detention for that. The fact that even tho Hermione was being so insensitive about his pet's death, he readily forgive her as soon as she apologized (he did not even cared if she was sincere about it. The fact that he stood on his broken leg to defend Harry from Sirius who he thought was a murderer. The fact that he was the one who actually said in HBP to Harry, that he needs him and Hermione (and not Hermione, the fact that it was Ron who gave the idea about Lucky potion to Harry. The fact that in DH it was Ron who first felt that calling Voldemort's name was the snatchers were tracking them, the fact that he tried to free the elves to during the battle, the fact that even after witnessing Fred's death, he pulled himself together and tried to do the right thing. Everything was taken away by the movie and I will never forgive the screen writer for this

It took me a day and a half to read deathly Hollows, by the end of it i was crying. My family was getting ready to go out of town for my brother's 21st birthday trip to vegas, his birthday gift from me was his copy of the book, i heard the doorbell ring because my neighbor was going to be watching our cat and dog, i came out of my room sniffing, my mom said good morning, my neighbor was just looking at me, my mom turns around and she goes whats wrong, i said i'm almost done with the book, my neighbor took that as a sign to quickly leave the house saying I dont want to know, i dont want to know, i don't want to know. My mom looked at me and was like that sad, i said yeah

I've seen that Dumbledore and Harry scene in the movie. There's a part from Chamber of Secrets they took out and ever since then I've been going crazy thinking that it never happened. In the theater version Arthur asks harry the function of a rubber duck, harry tell him as he's telling arthur what it is you see Percy come in and then errol comes in. HOWEVER in the dvd version you see harry start to say it but it cuts to Errol coming in and Percy is just magically sitting at the table.

hmmm not correct for number 13. Ron does tell them the name Voldemort is taboo but it is AFTER he reunites with Hermione and Harry. In this video he is still injured in the scene. When he reunites with Hermione and Harry he is healed after being gone for weeks trying to return to them, and does after using the deluminator and seeing and following Prof Snapes Doe that led both Ron and Harry to the real Sword of Gryffindor. So. its always been in the movie.

There is a scene in the book, The Deathly Hallows, when Ron saves Harry from the pond where the Sword of Gryffindor lay. After they got the Sword they discuss Hermione, how she missed Ron. Harry tells Ron that he loves her, that she is like a sister and that he loves her like a sister. And he reckons she feels the same way about him. It was a touching scene that I feel should have been included in the film.

A lot of these deleted scenes must have been re-added to future director's cut versions. Because I've seen these scenes while watching these movies on television. I personally believe that directors specifically cut certain scenes so they can be re-added to future director's cut versions of the movies. Making sales for movies that are no longer popular.

There are more deleted scenes that never even made it into the deleted scenes. The scene where HWCBN goes to potter cottage and Zaps Harry in the head. There is a cut after the flash where HWCBN gets thrown backwards into the wall and the entire cottage shakes. I know because I was the stunt man that performed. It.

The original first movie in the theaters had a great scene with an inch worm measuring Harry for his robes. It also showed Harry and Hermione figuring out the potions. I remember seeing the purple fire. I was so disappointed when they were missing completely from the DVD. Bring them back!
reply

I really wish in Deathly Hallows part 2 they had showed the house elves coming out of the kitchen to attack the Death Eaters, that we got to see all the Headmaster portraits cheer when Harry came into the office after killing Voldemort, and showing the Elder wand fixing Harrys wand.

I won't even mind if they made a 5 hour length movie of Harry Potter. I'll watch every single second of it. I don't get why they need to delete some scenes that are very significant in the storyline. Although the movies are great itself, it could've been more impactful.

I am kinda REALLY mad that they took out the scene that Kreacher and a lot of house elfs start fighting and chanting for Harry. When my dad told me it did not make the final cut I freaked out and got so mad. It is one of my favorite scene in the entire series
reply

Would have been nice if msmojo would have used the actual name of the enemies Harry and Dumbledore fight in the seaside cave. I am pretty sure those are inferius. It is the whole reason Dumbledore uses fire on them. They are highly vulnerable to it.

Great vid.
In the movies I wanted more scenes with Ginny and Luna because they were as important in the defeat of Voldemort and Luna is the prettiest and most interesting witch in Hogwarts, not just Ravenclaw IMO.

I am glad victor krum and hermione scene was deleted when you watch their scene at the ball it is clear hermione does not like him if anything victor krum repulses her she deliberately eats something gross and stinky to try and get rid of him.
reply

I didnt know these scenes were deleted- i have the harry potter movies on dvds, when i watch them these scenes are in them- except the SYBILL TRELAWNEY LISTENING TO DOLORES UMBRIDGE'S SPEECH one, Draco running, and the Dudley apologizing one
reply

They should release extended versions with as many of these scenes restored to the films as possible, just like they did with LOTR. Everyone who wants to already owns Harry Potter. This way, they could sell the films all over again.
reply

I actually understand why most of those scenes were cutsome werent necessary and others wouldve required further explanation and more screen time. Seconds matter and equal lots of money when youre making a film.
reply

The filmmakers must've really disliked Ron, haven't they? I mean Krum was on the wedding but it was actually Ron dancing with Hermione. This is not a big moment, but we all know there were worse #justiceforron
reply

I always found it bizarre that they never did extended versions for the rest of the movies. When they did it for movies 1 & 2, they restored all the deleted scenes. They could have done it for the other movies.
reply

I have seen the majority of all of these in the original movies, then on the second releases they were cut. Just waiting to see if the show Harry's aunt cracking eggs, and they have his letters inside them
reply

I also wish theyd kept in the scene with Seamus, where he says his eyebrows have grown back, but then turns around and some hair is missing from the back of his head Poor kid couldnt stop blowing things up
reply

I was rewatching DHs Part 1, and it had a completely different scene. It had them in Diagon Alley, Hermione as Bellatrix, and all the dialog was in the alley and not the bank. Made the bank scene weird.
reply

It's truly a shame that our hero who let us feel not so weird turned on all of us and alienated so many of their readers. We don't say their name anymore, and indy bookstores won't even carry their works
reply

I'm not worried, Harry. I am with you. Was probably my favorite line in the entire book series. I'm devastated to see it was part of the script, and even filmed, but never made it into the film.
reply

Think 1 and 2 should of been switched Dudley saying bye to Harry and his aunt finally admitting how much losing her sister hurt is soon good really does suck that they left it out
reply

ngl one of my favourite sceans in the book i wish they had put in the moive was when P. mogonagal says ok so who did she say was dying this year? in refrence to profeccer trawlny
reply

dumbledores faith in harry was mentioned in the book. iirc the start of the video said scenes from the books that did not make the cut in the video would be in a separate one
reply

Number 11 isn't a deleted scene, though?
I watched Half-Blood Prince just yesterday, and I clearly remember Dumbledore saying that he wasn't afraid, because he was with Harry.

reply

All of these deleted scenes are in the movies if you watch them on peacock. Although they do have some weird cuts to black in the end of scenes like its going to commercial
reply

I doubt there are many Potter fans that would object to all of the movies being re-edited and much extended. Let's face it, the majority of fans love to be lost in that world.
