I'm so happy that Dynamite is here, the BTS mania was clearly evident around the globe since 2019 but Dynamite just established the fact that BTS is the biggest boyband of 21st century, since Dynamite, BTS had 6 songs chart at no. 1 on BBHot100, with Butter and PTD holding the spot for a total of 17 weeks, Billboard had to change a lot of its rules after that as they were feeling inferior of the fact that an Asian boyband is selling so much that their sales alone could lead them to no. 1 at BBHot100 and 6 no. 1 albums at Billboard 200, probably the most successful Boyband ever since the Beatles themselves

Thank you for this list! Already watched it four tines. Don't care for Justin Timberlake or his music, but his contribution to the soundtrack for the Trolls soundtrack was impressive. My favorites were Ms. Bareilles, The Weekend, Ms. Jepsen, and Little Nas X.
reply

How can you include Call me Maybe without mentioning the video by the US soldiers parodying the Dolohins' cheerleaders' Video. That was a huge gap in your scriptwriter's knowledge
reply

I was surprised to see This is Me on this list.
I mean it's a terrific song, one of my favorites from the movie, but it was never released as a single, at least to my knowledge.

reply

I don't know half the songs on this list and I refuse to believe that I'm that out of touch. I thought there are more popular weeknd songs and what about Thrift Shop?
reply

I know I'm not the only one that thinks Can't Stop The Feeling was made on the template of Happy, or to be likr like Happy, or to bring out the feeling of Happy.
reply

I am surprised Hello by Adele didn't make the cut. but not everyone can sing like Adele so maybe its viralness was not right (for collective eardrums anyway!

Old Town Road
Call Me Maybe

Bad Guy
Cant Stop the feeling

1: 54 In my mind, this song will never get old.
3: 41 I will admit that, even though I'm not a huge Billie Eilish fan, this song is rather catchy.

reply

Sorry but how can you make a list named top 10 song that went viral for all the right reasons and do not put Never gonna give you up on a top spot?
reply

Old Town Road.
Call Me Maybe.
Happy.
Three good songs from 2010s are also THREE of my 315+ most favorite songs of all time.

reply

#10 only charted in 8 different countries and not even that high so to call it a world wide succes and viral is very much a stretch.
reply

I read a thing once that said that happy is just a rewrite of if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands and i cannot unhear it.
reply

Agree with Brave and Call Me Maybe.
But I'd flip some of the honorable mentions to the top 10 and add Daniel Powter's Bad Day.

reply

Nah but for real Call me maybe ended really messed up because you realized that yo was gay the whole time she was pursuing him
reply

A honourable mention to butter by BTS and also Blinding Lights shouldve won a Grammy if not just be nominated for one at least
reply

I like N. E. R. D. original version of Happy it was so good that scott weiland had recorded an unreleased version of his own
reply

This was an awesome list. Can't Stop the Feeling and Dynamite are 2 somgs that whenever I hear them, I just gotta dance!
reply

Dynamite came out just in time to remind us of their PRODUCER'S and WRITER'S powers. As well as the powers of auto-tune.
reply

All these songs are recent, and then we see Africa from 1982. It's longevity is enough to top all others combined.
reply

Can't Stop the Feeling and Blinding Lights are two of my happy go to songs I love to dance or walk too
reply

Dynamite is good but c'mon compared to honorable mention and whats on the list this song dont belong here.
reply

Loved this list! Thank you Happy is a great song and Can't Stop the Feeling. just makes you want to dance.
reply

Thinking Out Loud was a big hit for Ed Sheeran, but Shape of You was far bigger and went more viral.
