Are you freakin kidding me? The soundtrack of Fast Times at Ridgemont High had: We Got the Beat The Go-Gos, Kashmir Led Zeppelin, Moving In Stereo The Cars, Life In The Fast Lane Reeves Nevo & The Cinch (cover, Wooly Bully Reeves Nevo & The Cinch (cover, Somebodys Baby Jackson Browne, Speeding The Go-Gos, Dont Be Lonely Quarterflash, Highway Runner Donna Summer, Sleeping Angel Stevie Nicks. I knew it wouldn't be on this list, but my favorite soundtrack to a teen movie is from a little remembered, but very good film from 1985 called Vision Quest, which starred Matthew Modine and Linda Fiorentino. Madonna made an appearance as a singer in a local bar and performed Crazy For You. The whole soundtrack is great, with Lunatic Fringe Journey's Only the Young as standouts.

I'm glad that they changed the Tunnel Song from Landslide to Heroes, since the latter embodies the empowering tone of the moment. But, it begs me to question why a group of music loving teenagers from 1992 wouldn't recognise one of Bowie's best known tracks, which was 15 years old at that point.

Romeo and Juilet is one that I enjoyed. I sang When Doves Cry for hours. I remember it was a intense song. Didn't know until after Prince passed away that it was his song. But the Cruel Intentions soundtrack is one for the ages. Juno soundtrack still pull at my heart strings

I'm so happy Booksmart made the list! It's one of my favorite movies. Empire Records too. Damn the man, save the empire! Empire! Also, I wouldn't have liked Perks Of Being A Wallflower as much if they'd used Landslide. I can't stand that song. The Bowie song works much better.

The Twilight Saga may be lame, but the songs in all the movies were phenomenal! I was introduced to Band of Horses, Iron & Wine, Bon Iver, Feist, and so many more artists. Alexandra Patsavas did an amazing job selecting the music.

I've not seen Dirty Dancing mentioned. You realize the soundtrack actually made the movie possible. Also, Valley Girl, much like Twilight, was good BECAUSE of the soundtrack. Also, anybody remember SING, SHAG or Dream a LIttle Dream?

top? It's 2023, and one of you're best on the list is 1978? it was 45 years ago! for fck sake. James Bond from that time would have died from old age by now (I hope not) do any characters in those movies know what iPhone is?

I love that John Hughes enlisted Keith Forsey, who was primarily a drummer, to write the songs for the Breakfast Club soundtrack, since he wanted the music to mirror the characters' erratic, turbulent emotions.

The Booksmart entry missed the best and most important song/artist: Run The Jewels! Grease also has to have one of the most overrated, worst, absolute dogshit soundtracks in filmic history. Absolute garbage.

_Juno_ is one of my favorite films, and the soundtrack plays a big part of that. All the songs just fit the tone and main character perfectly. I get it stuck in my head often.

Feels like Boys n the hood is here so there is a token black film. Above the Rim, Menace to Society, and Sunset Park all have superior soundtracks to most of the films on this list.

Whether or not it is more of a coming-of-age movie than a teen movie is debatable, however I think American Graffiti had an amazing soundtrack!

'That thing you do' was an amazing movie and the music made it. Should have been at least an honorable mention.
