Wow, I had no idea that the Barbie movie was such a monumental undertaking! The amount of creativity and skill that went into crafting every aspect of the film is truly remarkable. From the complex story to the stunning Technicolor visuals to the amazing disco dancing and designer fashion, it's clear that no detail was overlooked in this production.
I was especially impressed by the way that Mattel persisted in their efforts to bring this movie to life, even after facing setbacks and delays for over a decade. Their dedication to making the best possible film is truly inspiring.
Overall, I thought the Barbie movie was a fantastic achievement and a real treat for fans of all ages. I'm so glad that Mattel was finally able to bring this beloved character to the big screen in such a spectacular way!

Thank you for the update, MsMojo! I must say that I'm thoroughly impressed by Margot's acting talent. She has a unique ability to bring characters to life in a way that's both believable and captivating. Her range is incredible, and she's proven herself capable of taking on a wide variety of roles. In particular, her portrayal of Barbie in the latest movie was fantastic. She brought a fresh and modern spin to the iconic character, and her performance was both heartwarming and inspiring. Margot Robbie has a special gift for connecting with audiences and making them feel invested in the characters she plays. Margot Robbie is a talented actress who continues to impress and delight audiences with her performances. I'm excited to see what she'll do next.

Barbie is important because she has held almost every job a girl might dream of for her career. (Still waiting for Bartender Barbie) Those dolls are represented in the movie; but Ken, on the other hand, hasn't had the focus on his lack of profession before. It was awesome that Ken only existed for Barbie. .. until the end when he figured himself out. Brilliant! Incidentally, I thought it was funny that the movie revealed Barbie was named after Barbara, Barbie creator Ruth Handler's daughter, but failed to reveal that Ken, too, was named after her son. I guess audiences weren't ready for that detail.

The set design and costumes are so astounding. Even if I havent played with barbies when I was younger, this is still so fascinating. I just didnt like the political concept that got inserted into this film but so far, some scenes are still funny when they go at war lol.

My favorite part of this movie is when Barbie, the other dolls, and America Ferrera/Ariana Greenblatt fought and took over Ken Land. It was so good to see the kens freaking out over this. I didnt laugh out loud and laughed quietly instead since I didnt want to appear rude.

My favorite part of the movie was that scene where America Ferrera character, Gloria, gave that amazing speech about the hardships of being a woman and how the system is rigged. I have never related so hard to a character and what they stand for.

This looks like a great movie. It looks almost, but not quite, like Wes Anderson movies. Wes Anderson made movies that looked like they took place in a dollhouse world. This movie looks like Next Level Wes Anderson.

Over a billion barbies have been sold worldwide and as a boy growing up all my gal pals had barbies, they loved them and eventually my daughters had them, when the movie goes to streaming I'll watch it

Greta Gerwig hasn't disappointed me yet, this movie was a lot of fun. The set designs for Barbie Land were so outlandish and amazing, and the cast was just perfect.

I love that there was a shortage of pink paint, because of how much of it was used for this production. Kudos to the set department, for making Barbie Land come to life.

The Hollywood writers strike must still be going on if the only idea they had for an Oscar worthy movie was to make it about a fictional world about a bunch of dolls

My best friend for over forty years and I were going to see it. He passed away on June 22. So I went by myself and thought how much he would have loved it.

I was having bonfire yesterday and since me and all my friends went to see the barbie movie the week before we started singing I'm just ken

I saw it on Friday and was surprised on how deep it was a brilliant take on one of my favourite dolls I kinda of want to play with her again now.

I never knew there were so many kens. I only saw a few growing up in the 90s. I was really into Barbie as a kid but I think I only had one Ken.
reply

I wouldn't have watched this movie if there weren't competent people behind it
I went to see it because of Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach

Gal Gadot will not give justice to this script. She is not a good actress tbh. Margot gave depth to Barbie that I dont think Gal can pull off.

It's been over a week since the premiere. I am still not over this movie, I think about it literally everyday, a literal perfection

This movie deserves an Oscar for production setting considering how it caused an international pink paint shortage
