These Nickelodeon scenes still make us cringe. For this list, were looking at different scenes from various Nickelodeon shows - both animated and live-action - that had us wanting to turn our TV sets off out of discomfort. Our countdown includes iCarly, SpongeBob SquarePants, Drake & Josh, and more! Which Nickelodeon moment made YOU cringe?

on it's own, the iCarly bit with her in the tub sticking her toe in the faucet seems like an homage to a classic Dick Van Dyke episode. but when viewed alongside the countless foot gags across the network when Dan Schneider was involved it does get creepy in hindsight.
also looking back, despite being one of my favorite shows growing up. it's pretty cringey & weird that when Alex Mack turned into her liquid form she'd end up naked as her clothes didn't change with her ( I think she learned how to include her clothes in the transition between states but it's been like 30 years. I can't remember for sure )

iCarly was my favourite show as a kid but even then I just noticed how much nasty bodily humour was in it. The stuff like belly rubbing, the feet, Gibby being shirtless for jokes, and lots of other stuff I can't come up with rn that felt weirdly fetishized even back then. A couple of years ago when I wanted to rewatch it for the sake of nostalgia I just couldn't get through it, ugh it was just so uncomfortable. iCarly is easily the most uncomfortable show to watch now out of all the Nickelodeon shows. Thank god the reboot didn't bring back the fetishized body humour (Well duh, THAT guy wasn't involved.

Yes some of Nics stuff is definetly questionable but Cosmos pregnancy? Really? The vomit is glittering colorful goo. In no way it felt like real vomit watching it, like family guy loves to show. Its a wonderful episode. Its one of the best actually. Seeing a man going through a pregnancy and having to endure all the hardships and letting it out on Timmy is prime FOP stuff. They do this all the time. switching stereotyoes and making them insanely funny and then mostly even teach the lesson at the end. C'mon guys, not everything is content.

What's cringe or not is subjective and everyone has their own opinions, I, for example, loved the Thundermans and don't think all of it is cringe. but please at least do your research. For example, the tickling scene you showed from the Thundermans wasn't from the Season 2 finale A Hero is Born, it's from the Season 4 episode Orange is the new Max. Also, the belly rub dance from ICarly didn't show up in later episodes, it showed up multiple times in the same episode.

I find it hard to believe that I can't be the only one who didn't find disturbing these feet jokes before. I did and I was 15 back then. And not just that. The bullying, the extreme jokes, and total disrespect towards adults were not funny to me. Again I was just 15. Now what we know about creepy Dan today, it makes everything worse. Only Drake and Jose was the only one that I still can watch and enjoy without being disturbed.

I honestly didnt notice the mediocre extras in Victorious. I dont really think thats cringy. And the Take A Hint scene was awesome, even if it was a bit mature for Victorious intended audience. Wasnt it a hit?
I agree with most of these tho. I did watch a bit of the the Thundermans and hated it, though I thought it was because I was outgrowing Nick. But I guess the show really just sucked

Where do we even begin with the feet bits from Dan Schnieder? The callus bit from The Amanda Show, the hairy foot moment in Drake and Josh, the barefoot moments in Zoey 101, Sam's foot rubs in iCarly, Carly biting Spencer's foot, the feet smoothing in Victorious, among others. A foot fetish is one thing, but Dan Schnieder was really out of control with his obsession with feet.

For real? I think that the Everything should be from Henry Danger. Because we have a sweaty guy eating onions hugging Canadian triplets dressed as Mexican wrestlers, Drex giving Hebert a spanking for some reason, a Christmas special where the main cast gets arrested because Swellview has these laws that shouldnt be laws, and for real, THE SHOW IS NOT EVEN FUNNY!
reply

i dont know if MsMojo did there research well, but none of icarly or victorious was cringe, i actually found alot of the episodes they showed hilarious, and enjoyed it, i honestly wish they made more random funny, wierd and random episodes like that, shows now a days are just boring, without wierd and random the show isnt funny, giving this video a dislike

(Number 3 Squidwards misery) oh you are just sensitive this was funny as hell its called dark humor for a reason also SpongeBob was ready never meant for kids. Also for the iCarly and victorious ones the ones I hated the most were the feet scene I was horrified and disgusted once I found out the real truth

What about those times when everyone in The Loud House Universe(Season 1-Early Season 2) treats Lincoln like Meg Griffin
I think The Whole Lincoln Abuse from No Such Luck is full-on cringe for me(at least some fanfics saved me)
BTW, Please do A Top 10 Worst episodes of The Loud House

If any entertainment is going to do a pregnant guy trope, rate it in PG-13 or R instead of kids because I think these 2 ratings fit in any speculative fiction for that. Only women are supposed to have babies in reality not men because it would be unholy if that happened, although.
reply

I got nothing to say except this 1 oddly enough I wish the belly thing was in the new iCarly and 2 The Squidward misery was never funny of anything it was just depressing and 3 as for the feet thing A small part of me wouldnt be surprised of that inspired the feet fetish

Heres a few that I have:
- The burping contest between Korra and Bolin (The Legend of Korra.
- Squidwards toenail being forcefully ripped out (Spongebob Squarepants.
- Trinas audition (Victorious)
- Karl Wheezers butt pregnancy (Jimmy Neutron.

Me as a kid in the early 2000s: hey! My cartoons are referencing modern things I like! Thats so cool and modern!
Me as a jaded cynical adult now:
ugh, theyre just referencing modern trends, how cheap and gimmicky of them!

reply

Look Jimmy & Betty's dance isn't great but to say unwatchable is my insulting. Cringy yes but also funny and only as cringy as Peter's dance in Spider-Man 3 which I also love because it's also funny to watch.
reply

The Squidward episode is depressing, even more now that I'm an adult. Also, I don't remember that Zoey 101 episode. I thought some of the feet stuff was kind of weird, but it was also entertaining at the time.
reply

Me thinks The person who made this top 10 probably had never seen a cringe dance jokes aside I dont find these cringe. and as for that one really odd parents episode that was more disturbing than cringe 1: 47
reply

I gotta be honest, as someone that has been severely depressed, I thought squirdwards jokes were hilarious. Sometimes it helps to take the power of depression away by laughing at the absurdity of it all.
reply

I think those two boys hitting on Jade and Tori in the episode Tori and Jades play date was worse than the audience.
Like the Babe sandwich and the Are you ticklish? Scene. Those guys were freaks.

reply

Drake and Josh wasn't bad. Drake was innocent anyways he explained his side of the story. The Neutron segment was funny and I'm surprised they didn't show when Squidward stubbed his toe. Disgusting
reply

How could Midlife Crustacean be left out? I heard Nickelodeon finally removed it from re-runs for being inappropriate. A panty raid at Mrs. Krab's bouse? It was an absolute kringefest!
reply

Look, I'm not supporting Dan and the way he incorporated teen girls feet into stuff. That said, feet are not inherently cringey, nor is liking feet. Ok, some of us aren't insane like Dan.
reply

I don't know why iCarly have gotten that big. It's not even funny. I used to just switch to Disney's Monster Allergy until I switchback to Nickelodeon to watch reruns of Drake and Josh.
reply

I find it weird that nothing from Big Time Rush, Spectacular, the All That revivals, Rocket Power, or any of the Fred shows made the cut. but i suppose the editors can only take so much
reply

I was confused about the foot jokes too that Nick kept putting into all of their shows which made me so confused then and now! Why feet related jokes? They were never funny for me!
reply

Oh come on, Sauidward's Misery was hilarious because of how dark it was. Comedy is subjective, however, especially these days. Everything else is pretty bad, though.
reply

Tbh all these wernt really cringy the shows r made for kids what kids thing isnt cringy I laughed at half these wen i was a kid now they r cringy because we r adults
reply

to be honest none of the list mad me cringe at all, it actually made me laugh when i was younger, wish there was more alot of the scenes in the new icarly
reply
