In the next-day segment where Bruce Willis is sneaking back into his apartment, he passes an open window through which we hear the radio. The announcer states that last night the dance trophy was STOLEN from JackRabbit Slim's.

The themes of Swing Kids reminded me of Cabaret from decades earlier, the struggle of art in the midst of an anti-artistic and violent culture. In both these cases, the NAZIs of the 1930s.
I am so pleased that Paso Doble from Strictly Ballroom was number 1. I loved that movie, and I still do!

A bit surprised you didn't even mention a fantastic Brendan Fraser's dance scene from Blast From the Past (1999) and no less impressive Madonna's dance scenes from A League of Their Own (1992) & Evita (1996)

Oh my gosh! Pulp Fiction! My mom played that movie for my sister and I for the first time a few months ago! I was laughing almost non stop! And as someone who loves 50s music and diners and things like that that dance scene was so much fun to see!

I gotta disagree about the Mamushka in The Addams Family being better than the tango that Morticia and Gomez do in The Addams Family Values. That dance is what goth couples do as their first dance at their weddings to this day!

So glad you included Strictly Ballroom! I was a high school dance teacher for many years. My classes watched this movie as part of our ballroom unit. The kids loved the movie and the paso doble.
