I'm 58 so I've watched from the beginning so my favorites may not even be on here. Here are some of mine, not in any particular order except my #1
#1, my 33 yr old son and I love Stefan, so I'll give you that one.
#2, King Tut I'm glad that made it.
#3, More cowbell, I end up saying that quite often.
#4 I a van down by the river, love it
#5 any Rosanna Roseannadanna sketch
#6 Gild Radner singing Give me Mick
#7 Superhero party with John Belushi as the Hulk
#8, the big butt family
#9, Gumby
#10, my all time favorite Dan Akroyd as Julia Childs. Watch it you will pee yourself laughing.

So much great material for SNL sketches this week. Lots of good material for SNL and important stuff no WARE on MSNBC. Joe Biden send emails using aliases to Hunter and HUnter's business partners and MSNBC hides it from viewers? Really? Even with Joe Biden forwarding government documents to Hunter and his partners with the aliases Three of Joe Bidens aliases: Robert Peters, Robin Ware, and JRB Ware, Why isn't that a national security issue?

Aside from Matt Foly in #1 and maybe Seam Spicer I dont think any of the rest are considered timeless how about the trump sons on weekend update, Mrs. Raffenbuger Alien abductions (among others, the iceberg that sunk the titanic, or even the AG eye on Phoenix where the term trolley trash I think always pulls a giggle especially with adult doll collectors.

One: I cannot and will not ever get over the sheer hilarity that is More Cowbell, two: Matt Foley screaming I LIVE IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER! never gets old (no matter how many times he says it, and three: Mister Robinson's Neighborhood is both insightful and side-splitting, and is also my favorite sketch with Eddie Murphy.

Steve Martin's song King Tut came out before the skit on SNL. And that some Millenniums find it offensive and racist is absolute proof that Millenniums need to grow up and stop being a whinny baby! It was a song taking about the commercialism of King Tut and how bad it was to do it. smh. It's kind of a protest song.

You are obviously too young to remember how great the original cast was. Most of your great skits are after the 3rd set of cast members. By then SNL had circled the drain. I haven't bothered to watch that drivel for 25 years. The current woke version needs to be taken off of life support & allowed to die.

Since I first heard it. If someone says something we deemed high class. You just gotta say Well lotty freaking dah preferably loud if possible. Lol that also goes with the I need more cowbell, and if someone won't stop telling me sad stuff I have to say whomp whomp until the Downer gets the point.

The Sean Spicer skit should be an honorable mention, simply because it is so dated. Schweddy Balls should take its place since its the single greatest holiday skit in show history.
reply

Awesome list. Debbie Downer is so iconic, it became an actual MEME. Need more cowbell never gets old. Thanks for HM Schweddy Balls and Bill Murray lounge singer Star Wars
reply

Knew number 1 wouldnt be anything else but Matt Foley, but deeply disappointed by not even an honorable mention for Adam Drivers oil baron or the Close Encounter sketches.

Absolutely nothing gets better than Matt Foley. I AM THIRTY-FIVE YEARS OLD! I AM THRICE DIVORCED! AND I LIVEIN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!
Rest in peace Chris Farley

King Tut the song was recorded before SNL. Martin previewed it on SNL. The performance was NOT a sketch. Its based on the King Tut exhibit touring the USA form 76 to 79

This should be regular characters who never get old. Mine is Cecily and her boyfriend as the terazanos pasta and dominicos coffee girl tricked by fast food
reply

Matt Foley: Motivational Speaker is one of, if not the funniest skits in existence. Chris Farley chewed the scenery like only he could. RIP to a legend.

I was in elementary school when I saw Steve Martin's King Tut. We were learning about King Tut in school so I just had to watch and laugh myself silly. Still do.
reply

I always love the Stefon skits, especially the one where Bill Hader was leaving the cast and Stefon almost got married to Anderson Cooper.
reply

Can't believe Dick in a Box wasn't the short film on this list! And Will Farrell in red/white/blue thong shorts in the company meeting!
reply

The cow bell skit with Christopher Walken is hilarious. Ive got a fever, and the only prescription is more cow bell. classic line!

A-holes Couple:
1. Workout with a trainer
2. Pitch meeting
3. Buying a Xmas tree
4. Crime scene
5. Live nativity

There is no snl skit more iconic than Matt Damon's Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearing - this is a hill I'm willing to die on.
reply

Never getting old? Youve literally showcased these 500 times in the last 2 weeks. They are getting old only because of you.
reply

This one is mixing up favorite sketches with one that get old. I find David s pumpkins is good but get old fast.
reply

And I LIVE In a VAN down by the RIVER! Golden reminder to not be a motivational speaker with no self discipline!
reply

what does get old is talking over the sketches instead of letting people hear the reason they were funny to begin with
reply

What about Kate McKinnon playing Mrs. Rafferty? Any one of those would be better than Steve Martin's King Tut.
reply

If only they could have had a sketch with Debbie Downer AND Matt Foley together! Those two were my favorites.
reply

I hope that doesnt make that sounds right he doesnt get offended or Donald Trump he might as well be
reply

There are so many. Love all of these and can't stop thinking of what others good also be on the list.
