Lots of honorable mentions missing, such as (in chronological order):
- Bing Crosby in The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad;
- George Sanders in The Jungle Book;
- Peter Ustinov in Robin Hood;
- Mercedes McCambridge in The Excorcist;
- John Hurt in Ralph Bakshi's The Lord of the Rings;
- Billy Joel in Oliver & Co. ;
- Tom Hulce in The Hunchback of Notre Dame;
- James Woods in Hercules;
- Michael J. Fox in Stuart Little;
- John C. Reilly in Wreck-It Ralph.

Two things:
1) Mark Hamill should have been #1 because, as the Joker, he sounds absolutely NOTHING like Luke Skywalker.
2) Eddie Murphy's Mushu and Donkey are virtually identical. While that grating, rambling bit worked good against a character like Shrek, I was one who DID find Mushu distracting and increasingly annoying. Also, both characters are not so far removed from almost every other part he's played.

reply

Mark Hamill getting only an honorable mention is a crime worthy of Mr. J himself. How many people knew that an actor so typecast could do such a memorable voice as a villain character that even 30 years later it is Hamills take that people most associate with The Joker?

This is yet another list that should've been a top twenty instead of a top ten. What about Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jim Hawkins, Emma Thompson as Captain Amelia, David Hyde Pierce as Dr. Doppler, Michael Wincott as Scroop, and Brian Murray as John Silver?
reply

If it wasn't for the Joker, Hamill probably wouldn't have been offered roles as Fire Lord Ozai or the shapeshifter from Gravity Falls.
Never thought Dwayne Johnson could sing, but if that is him singing You're Welcome, he has quite the vocal chords.

Jeremy Irons was Super Incredible and Remarkable as Scar from The Lion King! He definitely fits the Role of THE Best Disney Villains Perfectly and does the larger parts of making Scar the Insidious, Calculating Shakespeare Villain we all Love and know
reply

even though highlighted hanks here for his work of woody but allen from home improvement also has hilarity to his role himself yes all in this list is multi- talented so is allen also for the movie tangled you get mandy moore also very talented
reply

Mathew lillard would be a good pick as well he played some victims in horror movies like in Scream and 13 ghosts he also played shaggy in the scooby doo, and scooby doo 2 monsters unleashed but he also voiced him in more recent animated movies
reply

Tom Hanks warm, booming, charming voice fit Woody like a boot! Especially in the first movie, his performance as the character is absolutely hilarious with Woodys smug and sarcastic one-liners never failing to make me laugh!
reply

At least Mushu and Donkey are written as the same faithfully lovable sidekick while Eddie Murphy voiced them but I always think Mushu is the long-lost son of Donkey and Dragon also looking like a dog and salamander combined
reply

All these actors were amazing in their respective role, but shout out to Tom hanks who played woody from Toy Story so freakin good along with the great robin williams who can do any impression and project any emotion.
reply

Who surprise me the most as voice actors I would say: Tom Hanks as Woody, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Josh Gad aas Olaf, Jeremy Irons as Scar, Amy Poehler as Joy, Robin Williams as The Genie, and Eddie Murphy as Mushu
reply

You can't do Scar justice without Jeremy Irons' voice. He fits the role so perfectly and plays such a large part of making Scar the insidious, calculating, Shakespeare villain we know him as.
reply

It goes without saying that Robin Williams acting range was absolutely endless, Whether it was live acting or voice acting he always totally nailed every single role that he was cast as!
reply

Ellen DeGeneres proved that she could act dramatically, as well as comedically, as Dory. My favourite part is when Dory points out to Marlin that he has to let Nemo live his own life.
reply

I feel like this list should be titled: Top 10 Moments Nobody Should Have Been Surprised by These Voice Actors At All! instead because whaaaaat!
reply

Tom hanks Hot Dame I wish I could see more of his movies but Im kind of underage of 17 but at least I have these films to call him my favorite actor.
reply

Will Smith as Oscar in Shark Tale shouldve been on this list. And Jack Black as Po in Kung Fu Panda. They did great in those roles and were funny.
reply

I'd only known Stephanie Beatriz from Brooklyn 99, but she absolutely blew me away as Mirabel, also proving that she has Terrific singing chops!
reply

James Earl Jones
Jeremy Iron
Tom Hanks
Ellen
Robin Williams
They are the best casting choice for the voices of the characters

reply

Very very great fun list I like it a lot very very great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever and a great choice for number one
reply

MsMojo, want to know the difference between a voice actor and once who is in front of the camera? Nothing, they're both actors.
reply

John Leguizamo and David Schwimmer should have honorable mentions cause they did great when they were in Ice age and Madagascar
reply

Hands down Robin Williams for me. He is just incredible. His impressions of Brando and Nicholson are just spot on.
reply

Mandy Moore was supposed to be on the list Not Donna Murphy, besides Mandy Moore is a Lead Character from Tangled.
reply

Feeling a little mislead. I was expecting a specific scene to be showcased, not just the role and movie.
reply

James Earl Jones had stuttering issues growing up. He was able, with help, to to speak without stuttering.
reply

John Goodman shouldve been on this list! imo hes a pretty good actor, but an even better voice actor.
