Well, we just have Eminem to thank, for everything he said about Mariah. Otherwise, we wouldn't have this 'Obsessed' hit. He mentioned Mariah's name in more than one song, including insulting Mariah's husband at the time.
Mariah was a real lady doing this answer song, but not mentioning his name (other than what he did.
Even if it was true what Eminem said (About Mariah, still, his attitude was very childish.
Mariah, always a lady in a matter of shade in people. I don't know her.

My Most Favorite Best Clap Back Songs are:
1. Taylor Swift's Shake It Off
2. Pink's So What
3. Katy Perry's Part of Me
4. Justin Timberlake's Cry Me a River
I'll NEVER forget about these Best Epic Clap Back Songs from my Childhood Years!

reply

Love yourself by Justin is awesome. But it was created months in advance. It has to be written, recorded, and put on an album. This takes a lot of time. Is it a coincidence or is it just two Hollywood stars creating drama to raise their status?
reply

The fact that Blank ____ & Look What You Made Me Do by Taylor Swift are NOT on this list is CRIMINAL! Those 2 songs are the BEST clawback songs in HISTORY, HANDS DOWN! And the fact that Shake It Off was chosen OVER those 2 is also CRIMINAL!
reply

You said something about another rapper with a blistering comeback against drake at the end of the video.
So was that guy not good enough or not famous enough to warrant even an honorable mention?

reply

You'll put Mariah's Obsessed on here but not Eminem's The Warning? That was the ULTIMATE clap back and we all know it - Em does not play and he straight up served Mariah on that one.
reply

I am surprised that you didn't mention- The Hardest Part of Breaking Up ( is Getting Back You're Stuff) by 2Ge+ther. Not sure he was upset about but I heard the song more than once
reply

Wow, no Ether OR Shether? Well, that sure is a choice.
edit: Also, I still think Pink & Carey Hart staged their separation to give So What more publicity, but that's just me

reply

Obsessed sucked as a song. And it's depressing how it killed her hit making streak. Except for #Beautiful but that was probably a hit because of the hashtag title.
reply

I would have changed Shake it off with Better than revenge, Obsessed with Clown and Fighter with F. U. S. S. I also loved Frankees F. U. R. B. dedicated to Eamon: D
reply

I only got one favorite. Its Eazy Es song Real M Gs. It was a response to Dr Dres Dre Day and was pretty good at dissing both Dre, Snoop and others at the time.
reply

Really! No Hit Em Up? And theres better diss tracks from Eminem, specially when he went at Ja, plus Drake admittedly had ghost writers, so does it really count?
reply

Why isnt there an single Michael Jackson song on this list as he had many clap back songs?
Yet another example of people trying to delete MJ from music.

reply

The feud between Eminem and MGK started because the latter made inappropriate comments about Em's then 15 year old daughter. I'd be pissed too.
reply

Ed Sheeran wrote Love Yourself way before the Justin and Selena breakup. It got him a grammy but it was just typical Hollywood made up drama
reply

Obsessed With Me automatically should've been DQ'd because Eminem DESTROYED her.
I mean absolute, Cleveland Steamer, SHIT on Mariah.

reply

'You're so Vain' by Carly Simon is one of the original clap back song. I guess if it not of this century then it isn't worth listing.
reply

So What is my favorite Pink song to this day. It's so empowering and show that sometimes, the only person you need is yourself.
reply

JB has no right to clap back at Selena. I can't stand him. Before anyone says anything yes I'm aware about how much she's sang about him.
reply

I'm surprised Not Ready To Make Nice which was the Dixie Chicks clapping back at an entire state didn't get an honourable mention.
reply

What is this absolute madness of a list, no vaseline being at No. 6 is ridiculous its one of the greatest diss tracks of all time.
reply

I'm so happy to see Ellie Goulding on the list! I think she should have been higher but still happy to see her on y'alls radar!
reply

Shake it Off instead of Mean? She literally says that the critic was mean, a liar, pathetic and alone in life in the same sentence
reply

Jill Scott Hate on Me. Dont know who the song was directed at but it was powerful and a savage clap back to all haters.
reply

I can't believe that Shake it Off is almost a decade old now. It'll forever be a bop, and encourages us to ignore the haters!
reply

So y'all are going to disregard Em's reply to Mariah? If you're going to bring up her song why not mention Em's the warning?
reply

The fact that Tupac's Hit Em Up isn't on here is a crime. You'd still need ice for those burns nearly 30 years later.
