if you seriously believe that if a couple breaking up proves that romance is dead i think you need to seriously revalue if love is dead or not. just because a couple breaks up does not mean that true love doesn't exist. A couple staying together is not always a given. I feel like we shouldn't put celebrity couples on a pedestal as it just creates a unrealistic expectations on love. just because a couple breaks up doesn't make me rethink if love exist. if you ask me, I reallly don't care if a celebrity couple broke up. Yes you have some celebrity couples that do break up but yet you also have some couples that are still together you can arguably say shows that romance is not dead.

For me, its definitely Jasmine Cephas Jones and Anthony Ramos. I thought those two were going to be together the rest of their lives, so it broke my heart to hear that they had broken up. However, it angered me (and still does) to see people bashing Anthony Ramos for cheating when family and friends from both sides basically confirmed he had never cheated. It was definitely one of those things that told me 1) Never get invested in somebody elses relationship and 2) Dont believe every rumor or scandal you hear about a celebrity on social media.

I never understood why people get so disappointed about these break-ups and become so convinced that love is dead or a relationship failed. In most cases there WAS love there, and every relationship brought something special into people's lives. It's OKAY that people break up. It's not BAD, it's life. Something comes, something goes! The fact of a breakup doesn't automatically devaluate years of relationship and make it a fail! (sorry for possible mistakes, I'm not a native speaker)

The older couples (Eddie and Debbie, Lucy and Desi) make more sense why they upset people. Back in those days, people thought Hollywood was fairytale land. They bought into the glitz and glamor they saw on TV, movies and in the magazines. Nowadays, people know that Hollywood is just one giant bed and everyone is in it, so the dating, procreating, marriage and divorces should surprise or upset nobody.

I was SO disappointed when I heard Jason Mamoa and Lisa Bonet broke up. And I will NEVER understand why Miley Cyrus let that man go. I just dont get it. I didnt even know Vergara and Mangienello broke up. It seems like these couples give up too easily. I think next time you should add Giselle Bundchen and Tom Brady, Jeannie Mai and Jeezy, and Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert.

The very beginning of the video and 6: 22, why would you comment on somebody's failed marriage while interviewing them on the red carpet? Am I the only one who found that totally unnecessary and awkward?
I don't expect any better from the TMZ-type paparazzis who asked Jason Mamoa about his breakup, but the Access Hollywood guy on on the red carpet should have done better.

I don't think that the high rate of divorce, celebrity or otherwise, proves that love is dead as much as it proposes that maybe humans, like the majority of other species in nature may not be suited to monogamous relationships or at the very lease, one partner for life. After all, isn't it our egos & greed, jealousy & religion that has always pushed for monogamy?

Love isn't dead. It's about finding the right one. And love is a verb. It's an action. It's when you decide to love that person. I think for most of the celebrities do in my opinion is they're forced ro date the wrong people they know isn't right for them, all because the society(and the people they know) wanted them to date and get married to that person.

Here's a hint. Don't marry an actress/actor - particularly if their main genre is romance - if you want a true love story. You're literally marrying someone who is contractually obligated to be unfaithful. Whether it's fake or not, making out with someone who isn't your spouse is bound to get toxic over time.

It can even save relationships too. While time apart might initially provide some relief, relationships in general just need to be mended with communication, reconciliation, support, and commitment to one another.
