Including Gregory Peck's arguably over the top performance from The Boys From Brazil was a headscratcher for me. First, the real Mengele was nothing like the portrayal. He was calm, levelheaded and very clever while Peck's Mengele can't get enough scenery to chew. If that behavior suited the story, one could understand, but it made no sense for him to act like a maniac. In fact, it's precisely because he is so irrational that his entire scheme unravels. You diluted this list with that inclusion.
Old Gringo was a better lesser known performance. Geez, you guys.

Waterloo Bridge is such a memorable and tragic movie! There is another unusual Barbara Stanwyck movie which is called The Bitter Tea of General Yen that is set in China and involves some interracial love (although also some very unfortunate racism. One of my favorite unknown movies is called In a Lonely Place with Humphrey Bogart and Gloria Graehme. One of the most heartbreaking film noirs ever made! I love old movies and I had not heard of many of these. Thanks for the tips!

So many underrated classics here! Andy Griffith and Patricia Neal were great in A Face In The Crowd and Key Largo is definitely an under-appreciated film in the career of Bogie, Bacall, Edward G. Robinson, Lionel Barrymore, and Claire Trevor. Thanks for highlighting all of these, MsMojo!

Cary Grant was a great actor, with drama and comedy roles. I particularly remember his role in Arsenic and Old Lace which qualifies as a screwball comedy that left me in tears of laughter several times during the film. It is a story that truly redefines dysfunctional family.

You know, I'm not sure how many of you have seen this, but it doesn't seem to get enough recognition, I think: Barefoot in the Park (1967) with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda. That movie is so light and funny. I love it! They were both amazing in it, as well.

Sadly, now that Netflix no longer is an exclusively streaming service and has abandoned its DVD department, most of these films (and so many others) will be lost to those who have not yet seen them.

Both Vivien Leigh and Robert Taylor considered Waterloo Bridge their favorite movie. I love this movie. Vivien and Robert were a perfect couple, I think that Taylor was a very underrated actor.

I think I'll have to watch Gregory Peck in Boys from Argentina. I vaguely remember hearing about the movie, but it looks interesting to see him play against type.

Great list! I love old movies. My favorite actor from that era is Melvyn Douglas. So handsome and made movies in every decade. He won Oscars, a Tony and an Emmy

This list was fantastic! And seeing Donna Reed was a nice surprise! I feel she was underused during her MGM days, such a shame too!

Video request: Best sitcoms of their respective decades. I'm thinking I love Lucy, Gilligans Island, Threes Company, Cheers, etc.

Nice video, but the most underrated Bogart and Bacall's film is Dark Passage. Don't forget Rita Hayworth in Miss Sadie Thompson

I watched Remember the Night and it was a very good movie. Barbara Stanwyck surely did her best. I am proud to have watched it.

Penny Serenade has a special spot in my heart. I'm adopted and the speech Cary gives before the judge reminds me of my dad.

Most of the movies on this list are well-known classics. it's a nice compilation, but the title doesn't make sense.

Penny Serenade was one of the earliest films to deal with adoption, & it does so in a reasonably realistic way.
