Well stated! Rugrats is deeply personal to me. I still watch Rugrats In Paris: The Movie to this day and love every second of it. The characters were likable, the dialogue was funny and the story was compelling. There are quite a few parts of this movie (especially the Reptar robot scenes) that make me laugh to tears.
I honestly can't pick a favorite episode (too many to mention, but if I could pick a couple favorite characters, my favorite would have to be Tommy, because he was a leader and knew what was the right thing to do. We need more characters like that!
My second favorite would be Chuckie, because even if something terrified him, he knew he had to face it head on. As a young boy on the autism spectrum, I had some of the same emotions as a kid; I was afraid of certain things, but I knew I had to be brave and overcome them.
My third favorite would have to be Kimi, because not only was she she was bold and adventurous (and adorable, but she always tried to push Chuckie out of his comfort zone. I think that's quite important; you can't stay within your comfort zone forever.
Im much older now, but I still believe that the values of friendship, trust, camaraderie, bravery and imagination that Rugrats explored are incredibly important for kids to learn. Thank you, Klasky Csupo, from the bottom of my heart, for creating a wonderful, brilliant series that captivated and inspired me from the beginning. A baby's gotta do what a baby's gotta do!

I agree that there are companies that take advantage of workers, but I've also seen workers who slack off and try playing the insert card to get out of the Simplist of tasks. I had a coworker who spent as much time in the break room at the start of the night to get out of doing any set up and then tried to say our boss was being a toxic male because he made it clear he expected the same amount of work from everyone regardless of gender or race and asked us all to do our fair share. Her ass got fired real quick because she kept leaving while still clocked in, every Friday she found a reason to leave and wouldn't listen to anyone and would milk the smallest tasks to avoid doing something else kept playing on her phone. I thought she would play the race card on me for sure, lucky my black co manager who she kept trying to run to thinking he'd have her back set her ass straight before she finally got fired. In fact we were all told call the cops if she showed up because she kept clocking in to steal from the company and she knew it'd take a until the preplanned schedule ran out before she was out of the system. And she thought that the union would have her back but the union recognizes that there are people who will try to take advantage of the system so there's a probation period and even if she made it past her probation period they would not have her back for stealing time and leaving while on the clock at any time can be taken as a voluntary quit.

I loved the Rugrats as a kid, all the adventures, learning how to deal with bullies, how to work up the courage for things, being imaginative and the culture were great. But my favorite part was Susie. Everytime she came onto screen I would get up close to watch and listen to her. Before there was much Asian representation, Susie represented everything I wanted to be, smart, savvy, quick witted and someone others who could look up to, and just the way she handled Angelica was very educational for me, because I had alot of bullies in school. Also her mom being a doctor who you'd see go to and from from work and talk doctor things with the other parents too. Susie was canonically younger than me in the show, but I looked up to her like she was a peer or older sister. And as far as I am concerned, Susie is best girl forever.

Though I only realized it as an adult, Chuckie was such an emotional support character for me as a kid. I lost a parent around the same age and also suffered from anxiety disorders. Obviously I couldn't articulate why he was my favorite at the time, but I remember Kimi being one of my first imaginary friends because I loved the idea of Chuckie finding a new parent and getting a sibling. (Here's a public apology to my mother for blindly making her take me to see Rugrats in Paris in theaters and making her relive that grief )

I remember one episode where Angelica got sick from eating too many cookies so she ultimately decided to stop eating them but, it was too hard for her because she just loved cookies too much. That episode could be a subtle way of covering addiction. Later in that episode even though Angelica swore she would never eat cookies again she continues looking for them and eventually does find them only to be sick from eating too many again. This could represent relapsing.

Look I may be a mixed guy from New Jersey, but this video not only gave me relief for watching Miss Mojo Videos, but also encourages me to keep watching them. So what if Im a guy. Also, thank goodness I grew up with rugrats, or else I wouldve never been led to videos like this or what other videos Miss Mojo put out too. Hell I even shed tears at the end of some videos.

#4 theres a reason why males dont wear dresses because its not made for that demographic boys and girls men and women are biologically made differently
And women wearing pants thats nothing of a valid argument there are pants made for women and girls respectfully then men and boys get pants that are for them specifically Id be a crazy fool to wear a girls dress

Lord, even as a kid I could feel how deeply painful it was when Chuckie handed his dad his mom's box and the look on that man's face. Just ow. I can never unsee that level of heart break or forget how all the air was sucked out of that room as he was confronted with that box he was hiding away from.

rugrats was always a super progressive show that broke a lot of stereotypes. a wealthy, highly educated black family. a jewish family with the wife as the breadwinner. a powerful female with a docile husband. a single widowed dad. those were either unheard of or broke stereotypes in the 90s.

The worst part is that since Chuckie's mom left a diary for him, noting that she would be 'leaving him behind', that meant the show tackled another hard point; our own mortality from sickness. She had something terminal and knew her time was up. We can only assume it was likely cancer.

Good friends to make the best support provided they really are generally generally good friends so Chuck he's lucky that he has such good support so is Tommy because Tommy sometimes doesn't realize that without without the others he probably be eaten alive in a manner of speaking.

I think the best part about Rugrats is that they just made the episodes. They didn't need to meet any type of rule or guideline. The diversity never felt forced or required. It is a reflection of the real world, these are just stories of people living their lives.

I always identified with Chuckie the most when I watched that show, maybe it was the common anxiety disorder, but the scenes with him dealing with serious issues always seemed to stick out the most for me even if I didn't have to go through all of the same issues

Whats really scary about Josh is he literally could have killed the babies. The part where he was gonna jump on them from high up off the swings he literally could have killed them being a fat kid squishing the babies. They would at best have been in the hospital.

I want a mom to take my hand and make me feel like a holiday, a mum to tuck me in at night and chase the monsters away. I wanna mom to read me a story in sing a lullaby, if I have a bad dream to hold of me when I cry.

I absolutely loved watching this show when I was a kid and it was way ahead of it's time and it still holds up to this day. But right now the feminist SJW group is trying to abolish this show proclaiming it's too offensive

Even as a kid it didnt make a lot of sense to me that girls got to wear dresses and skirts which not only looked nice but also more comfortable than pants and dress shirts. Plus girls got the better looking shoes.

Wow. I grew up in a religious cult that has very different values than all of these clips. No wonder Ruggrats scared the crap out of me. It went against everything I was learning and probably going to hell for.

Chucky was always my favorite. He & his dad have glasses & (until Rugrats in Paris) it was just them. Similar to me & my dad. And he was always the nervous one wanting to stay out of trouble. Also me.

Rugrats was(and always will be) the best show in my opinion. In a way, it helped me deal with stuff growing up. To this day, I think of the show when going through hard times. It's very sweet.

I heard a good theory regarding the first one in why Chaz is such a mess without Chuckie in that in that world he lost his wife and his son. No wonder he's so messed up.

That crossdressing episode was probably the first time in my life I ever saw the subject depicted as something other than either a punchline or a tool of deception

On a deeper note for the anxiety. Chuckie is the only character who lost a parent early which could be a reflection of traumatic events triggering anxiety responses.

If there's one episode from Rugrats that EVERYBODY knows, it's the episode with Melville. Also, Angelica's Birthday tackled the subject of the fear of growing up.

Tommy being in the NICU as a newborn really puts his parents interactions with him into perspective. His mom is always so protective and his dad calls him champ

It's also interesting how, even though Tommy is essentially the lead character, the tougher issues almost always revolved around his friends rather than him.
