those of you who were disappointed by this seriess last four seasons, how Penny was never a well developed character, and how it ended, let me recommend you this:
What could have been, by son-goku5.
WAY BETTER than the actual show. It takes place THROUGHOUT the show, but has real and better character development for Penny. It's like 95% from Penny's POV, and it also gives her more depth by showing/including her family from Nebraska as well as her family. It definitely made me feel better about how disappointing the last five seasons were. The show should have just ended with Leonard and Penny getting married. Also this story puts Penny in moments where she wasn't. (Vegas and Camping Trip where the guys were Tripping while Camping; she gets high too. Also, there's a huge twist that makes the show honestly look dumb in romantic story telling. There's also more Penny vs Sheldon in it, to the point that Sheldon messes with her job and she messes with his schedule. Penny also doesn't become unlikable in it, and remains her before she got married self to the end. Her fate in this story is also a lot better. And Leonard's proposal is WAY better in it. They also show Leonard interacting with her family more often (they also show him asking for her parents blessing, which is a very well written moment) and he even tells Penny he's jealous of her for having nice parents. Leonard also gets REAL character development in this story too. He grows up and acts less nerdy but still remains a nerd (for example he missed half a day of Comic Con to take care of Penny when she gets a headache. That's what I call maturity. And when Raj uses the whip sound, to make fun of him for taking care of her, Penny gets all mad for them making fun of Leonard and she even mentions his problem with Emily and the Iron Maiden. When all he's doing is something thoughtful. What's best about this story is that while they do act like their sitcom selves, Leonard and Penny develop more realistically like REAL PEOPLE. READ IT! Also the author is German, and I think he's a physicist, because he writes science dialogue that's offscreen. Penny also comes to hate Beverley a lot. She also stands up for him when someone flirts with her and denigrates him at the same time, because she knows he never was able to do it his whole life. Its really beautiful. At one point she even calls him in her mind, her soulmate.

The main thing is that he lacks and understanding of body language and he can't read people's emotions, while also being an egotistical maniac as Meemaw describes him and Pop Pop, that's why he says he wishes for the power to read people's minds.
But when he actually gets what people are going through, he's going to do the right thing. The Number 1 pick is the perfect example because, his social quirks make him to look like he lacks empathy, but when he heard my mom died, he inmediately connected the dots since HE KNOWS what it is to lose a parent and was able to bring a comforting advice to Howard.
He's so selfish and self-centered, to the point where it's only through his own experiences that he manages to feel empathy for others.

this very much proved to me that sheldon was right when he implied that a high EQ holds you back as a genius, because as his EQ grows because of his friends and family he starts to give up the things he wouldn't have, which takes away more opportunities and the show made it seem like he would've had the chance to win a nobel twice, but that's a rarity in real life. The show tried to show that yk sheldon's growth helped him in life but in actuality in science he was right the first time when he referenced an EQ as being a hurdle to jump over

It's a little ham-fisted, but Sheldon is clearly autistic. As a fellow autistic individual, I enjoy his character. I hate some of the stereotypes, as spot on as they can be sometimes, Lol. But, like him, I have trouble with complex emotions and need guidance. I have zero luck figuring out sarcasm, like Sheldon, but I can deduce from facial and hand gestures what's actually going on. The show is fun, and Young Sheldon reminds me of my younger self. No friends, loving sci-fi and having zero friends. Anyhoo, cool vid. Ciao!

His nobel speech makes me tear up everytime I do see it. I also loved how he was so perplexed on stage he did not get anything because he was totally overthinking that what he did and what amy told him before. I loved how he even did it SO respectfully even calling howard astronaut and respectfully talking to them and telling them how much they mean to him. I would have never seen that coming from sheldon.

Sheldon doesn't mean to be a callous person, he just doesn't recognize human emotions. It makes his personality so much more endearing because, nevertheless, Sheldon has those Southern manners drilled into him. Once he realizes that he's made a social mistake or hurt someone's feelings, he will try his best to make up for it (often in the most awkward and blunt manner possible haha)

To me they were always mean to him more than he was actually mean
Sheldon was just annoying but always cared for his friends. Leonard was the worst honestly I really began to dislike Leonard because it felt like Sheldon always admitted he love Leonard, but rarely did Leonard express good feelings for Sheldon.

For me it is when he is giving the Nobel speech and he addresses Howard as Astronaut Howard Wolowitz. All throughout the show he has made fun of Howard for being an engineer and not having a PHD like everyone else (except Penny of course. Here he gives Howard full recognition to his accomplishments.

The moment(s) that touched me were: Early in the series (I think season 2) when he DROVE Penny to the hospital after she fell in the tub and 2) When he, in a contract, gives his 20% share of his money, to an education fund for the children of Howard and Bernadette. #4 is my favorite.

Sheldon keeping Lenord's secret is backed in Young Sheldon when he snitched about his professor friend of plagiarism which resulted in almost breaking of their friendship. He realised the severity of his deeds upon talking to his librarian at school.

Sheldon is not exactly a jerk. Hes very socially awkward and unwise. Hes smart academically but not socially. However if Sheldon has something to say, he will say it directly to their face whether its nice or not and its honest.

The Little House on the Prairie dinner aftermath was hilarious.
Oh no. I left the food out.
What, you afraid that it's going to go good?
One of the rare moments we get to see Amy's sassy side.

I still think they did leonard dirty in the end of the series. I allways assumed everything evolved around him being the glue holding everyone together. So he should have gotten the main character ending

Am I the one who thinks Sheldon is on the autism spectrum? He may be considered rude to other people but maybe he just doesnt know when people are sad sometimes or when hes being rude

While Sheldon is selfish, self-centered and isn't good with emotions, we all know that he can be kind, comforting and there for you when it really matters and we can't help but love him

I was checking to see if the time Sheldon loaned Penny money to pay her bills. Also way back when young Sheldon reaffirmed his Mother's belief in God.

Dude's an ass the whole show.
The compilation doesn't change him, neither does it show the full situation behind Sheldon's intent.
