Libby was one of my favorite characters. It was a shame she only appeared once.
I liked Ira. I liked him better than Dale.
Jana wasn't forgotten about. She dumped Georgie because he dropped out of high school, which meant that he couldn't be the prom king to her prom queen which is what she wanted. After that, there was no point in bringing her back. There wasn't much point in introducing her to begin with. I didn't really like her.

Tam wasn't forgotten about. He appeared in one of the final episodes. His role was reduced when Sheldon graduated because they were no longer in the same school, Sheldon had no interest in seeing him anymore, and Tam made some new friends so he didn't have much interest in seeing Sheldon anymore. But his appearance in season 7 confirms they didn't forget about him.
June wasn't forgotten about. She appeared in the final episode to pay her condolences to the family when George died. We didn't see much of her because she really didn't fit the show. She was an old reckless party woman on a show about a young child genius. I enjoyed her first appearance on the show with her, Mee Maw, and Dr. Sturgis together in the bar, but I found her subsequent appearances to be boring an unmemorable.
Erica Swanson was not an important character.
Pastor Rob is one of my top 10 favorite characters on the show. At times, he was a better pastor than Pastor Jeff. He connected with the kids better. He fought for Mary's job and consoled her. He helped George with the football coaching. Yeah, he shouldn't have secretly dated Mary, but then again she shouldn't have secretly dated her and George shouldn't have secretly dated Brenda. Of the 4 of them, he was the least bad because he's the only one who wasn't throwing stones. None of them should have been throwing stones because they were all guilty. I wish they'd kept him, but I assume he took that job and went on to bigger and better things. Good for him
I presume they never brought back Bobbi because she was unpopular. That episode got a lot of backlash at the time. Good move by the producers not bringing her back. Other shows made the mistake of keeping around their evil little girl bullies. D. W. was never written out of Arthur. Amanda kept appearing in Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Emily reappeared a few times in Wishbone. And that angered most fans of those shows. Good job by the producers of Young Sheldon to never bring this character back.
10: 09 Actually, that's not 100% true. In season 5 episode 1, Brenda mentions The kids. Why do you think she pluralized it
On Paige, I disagree with the writers. I do not feel her story was satisfactorily concluded. I was 100% sure they'd conclude it in season 7. I'm shocked they thought it was sufficiently concluded. Even if McKenna couldn't return, they could have mentioned what happened to Paige.
I thought Georgie would choose Veronica over Jana. He made the wrong choice. To be fair, Veronica kind of blew it. She kept denying that she was interested in him when she was. Still, she should have remained as a recurring side character

See, this is what annoys me so much about tv shows. They’re just so focused on wrapping up the main characters and completing their stories, they forget all about the great side characters that help make the show so memorable. I mean, the least the creators could’ve done in the finale was have adult Sheldon give a quick update to what happened to some of them (like what Ted did in one of the last episodes of How I Met Your Mother. Would that really have been too much trouble

What about Mandy's brother Like Billy's sister, a one and done episode character. Never even mentioned or acknowledged again. So, of the two families, Sheldon was not the only one not at the courthouse wedding of Mandy and George Jr.

I think I was a little disappointed by the finale it feels like it spent to much time on this stuff with Mary and other random character moments I dont care about we could've had it like the season 6 finale.

It's a shame that they couldn't get McKenna Grace back, due to her busy schedule, but they could at least have mentioned Paige in the finale, or hinted as to her whereabouts through Sheldon's memoirs.

Since they went to the trouble of mentioning Veronica in the penultimate episode, maybe they'll have her appear in the upcoming Georgie and Mandy spinoff
